Nov. 10, the day before I leave the MTC

Yesterday was our last day of "Learning" It was unreal! We had a very strong testimony meeting with our class last night! I can honestly say I love my district! We were not always the best in everything, but we tried and I love them all so much (7 of them are going to Houston East, and then me and 2 others are going to DC

I have became really really close with Elder Hanson! This guy is fantastic! we are EXACTLY alike! The only difference is he is a huge Utah Fan and Im a huge Cougar Fan, but besides that I LOVE this kid! He is not in my district he is in the district next to us but his room is right next to mine!  HE HAS A TESTIMONY and I love to hear him bare it! His dad is a non member who drinks and smokes and all he wants is for him to come into the gospel so his family can be together forever!  He will be serving the Virginia West mission so we will be right next to eachother but different missions!

Ok, So I have been reading out of 3 nephi A TON lately. I love that book! specifically Chapters 10 through the end I love it so much. The whole book is fantastic and I know WITHOUT a doubt that it is true! no questions about that, I know joseph RESTORED (that is key) the true gospel and that President Monson is not the prophet of the church....HE IS THE PROPHET OF THE WORLD, wether the world knows it or not!

So I go into the field tomorrow....AH that is so crazy, I am a little nervous but I am also so very pumped 

Dad, please dont worry about being to preachy! I did not take advantage of that for 19 years and now I am :) so please go on ahead :) really!!

I LOVE THE GOSPEL :) 

Honestly I love it here, when the whole district stays together and does what they are supposed to the spirit is so so strong and it is so amazing, but like I said it all depends on the district.

Before I say anything I want you to know that I am trying to be christlike and I'm praying for help but I'm having a real tough time with this kid in the distict. He is not the DL but he kinda runs the group,you know he is funny and handsome you know just the cool guy so everybody kinda follows him but he kinda drives me nuts... He is the meanest to Me and Elder Brezzell (he is the DL) because we sometimes call him out on it and he does not like that.... Anyways I am trying to be christlike and I pray every morning and night to be more christlike and God is really helping me out it took a while at first but the more I prayed the more christlike I am becoming and he is also softening his heart a little to (but just a little;) 

Besides that I'm a little homesick like I said in my letter to you. I love you guys so much and I did not relize that for 18 years so I just want to say I'm so sorry because I love all five of you guys so very much you are my greatest joys in life, HONESTLY and I realize that now that I'm here, so thank you for being so AMAZING. 

Dad thanks for all the letters! I loved them all. Dad I just want to let you know that I am trying to get lost in the work completely (honestly I'm trying). I really do love this gospel with all of my heart and I really love the Atonement. This is the greatest work and I mean that.

Thank you for putting up with me for 19 years. I know that sometimes it felt like I was not listening to your lessons but as I'm here in the MTC I am remembering all of them so thank you.

MOM: I LOVE YOU. You are so fantastic thanks for the letters boxes and everying oh and the stone heart, I love it I take that heart every where and I just squeeze it :) Mom I love you and I am always thinking about stuff that you taught me in my life so thank you for everything.

Madison: First of all I love you and i want you to KNOW THAT WITHOUT A DOUBT, please know that you are the greatest most beautiful sister EVER :) Madison if there is one thing I would tell you it is to READ THE BOOK OF MORMON!! Please please please, I was not a great example of that and I'm sorry but I know of its importance and everything it can do! I was reading in Heleman the other day, it was a great and fantastic chapter, it was talking about how prideful man is but how the mountains and the trees and everything obeys at his command...Please be like the mountains, obey everything GOD (and mom and dad) tell you.  Be as the trees where if they tell you to do anything you obey right away !! Madison PLEASE read the scriptures and study them please do it for me!! and also Be carefull about the music you listen to. For most of my high school life my choice of music was terrible so I'm sorry for being that example, honestly I am. Music is so important so like I did at the end of my time with you please please listen to good music!! I love you sis!!

ROSSCO: dude your first game is on thursday I want to know exactly how it goes I want you to play awesome and I know you will :) because your you and your great :) Ross thanks for being the best brother EVER like for realsy you can't ask for a better brother please stay like you are forever. I love you bro!!

Like i said earlier I do love it here the spirit is constantly here and you just have to invite it in and I'm trying to do that. So Yes I do love it here even though its very hard, VERY VERY hard. 

I did not see Nate till Sunday, it killed me the first 4 days but I finally found him at the temple it was so great too see him. You can tell he is loving and hating it at the same time, he wants to get out to the field so badly, it was great to see him.

My comp.....hmm where to start....he is very kind, he never argues but he hates how I'm always going giong going. I'm to fast. I dont really like that he does not  like how I teach. To be honest, I don't love how he teaches but we're trying,

Life here is Great. I do miss you guys like crazy, but I love this work!

Okay, my companion is Elder Keith Hougard from Layton, Utah. He is great and we are getting along very well right now. He is surprisingly serving me, and it makes it a lot easier. Ha, don't worry, I am serving him as well, we must both have great parents:) He is a very logical person and speaks very slowly and with no excitement so its kinda hard for the Spirit to come because he just does not seem that excited to the investigator. He is just very logical. None the less though, I do know he has a testimony and it is very very strong.
As for the district. The last 3 or 4 days that kid has been on my nerves and finally last night a lot of people snapped. There was some yelling and stuff just for a second and then we all got split up. Most of the district is really mad at Elder Hoffman. I honestly do not like the kid. But this morning, we were all at the Temple (I did sealings for the first time, it was pretty cool) but I was just looking at his face. I could tell he is hurting really badly. I can tell he is going through some pain. I felt awful. I know that I have to be Christlike and so since the Temple this morning my whole thought process has changed. I would not say that I love him yet, but I am trying to show him love. I tried to say I'm sorry and apologize a couple of times. The first time he just walked away from me. So I tried again. He did the same thing and he said he was fine. The third time I just walked up to him and gave him a hug and told him I loved him. I could tell it made him feel a little better. He still does not love me though, that's for sure!
Mom, Thank you so much for the carmel Apples and stuff. Everybody loved them.
The two weeks have gone by fast so far. Mom, I can't wait to get out into the field. I am just so dang excited.
Yes, I see Nate around every now and then. He is still the same old Nate that I love. Loud as ever..I love that kid!
I love you Dad. I love you Mom and Ross and Madison..so very much and can't wait to hear from you guys.
I will call you on the 11th. I can't wait.

"I Love This Gospel"

Family...I love this gospel!!! I have been here for 4 days now and this Gospel is unbelievable. There have been many times when the Spirit has overwhelmed the room here.
Okay, so I'm not going to lie, I'm so homesick though. It hits most the time at night. I have cried myself to sleep a couple of times. I'm so sorry it has taken me 19 years to realize how much you mean to me. Honestly, I love you four so so so so so so so much!
My district is good. There are times when the Spirit overwhelms us and then there are times where they goof off. Please keep me and all of us in your Prayers. You are in mine EVERY TIME.
I love you guys so much, see you in two years.
