Hello dear TesWikians! I am Jarjar, Patroller at the service of the wiki but most importantly, lore-fan on anything Elder Scroll. This is the first of my analysis series where I’ll dive into various topics, mostly lore-related in hope to have a discussion with you all and peak your interest on some underrated topics of TES universe.
Today I will talk about one of the most powerful elf in the universe of the games. Witch King Moraelyn. A mer with magical prowess, as good aa Jaime Lannister with a blade and a deep, witty and cultivated mind, making him quite the individual and most importantly , quite the opponent…or friend! This is the first of a few break downs of Moraelyn. These will cover the events of book 1-12 of King Edward, where we follow his journey.
- Quick Background on him -
To talk about him, we really have to trace back to the dunmer’s childhood where he was prince of Ebonhart, brother of the King of said city. At this point, Moraelyn was a cocky, arrogant and quite frankly unpleasant child. However, a young stable boy from Blacklight would change all that when one day, Moraelyn visited Blacklight’s palace with his brother, who would ask a Nord stable boy named Mith to guide the prince into town to have his dagger looked at. The prince looked at Mith like trash, as expected from a prince of his age but whats next may surprise you!
So as he was being guided, Moraelyn pushed Mith of a piers and ran away. However, Mith managed to make his way to the store before the prince and waited for him. When the prince finally arrived, Mith stole his purse without Moraelyn noticing.
So the Dunmer, tricked by the Nord stableboy, couldn’t pay for the store’s services and mentioning who he was obviously did not work, the guard was called. He ran off easily. Mith catched up to him and this is the most important part to understanding Moraelyn’s core character: Mith stood up to the prince telling him that he might have not been born rich or to a royal bloodline but he was born proud (as most Nords are anyways). Shocked, Moraelyn laughed innocently and decided to run away with his new found friend! In later books, it is explained that he saw himself in the eyes of the Nord and what he saw disgusted him. A selfish, arrogant and idiotic prince.
Why its interesting
It is safe to assume that Moraelyn had everything. Money, status and when he’d become king, Power.
But what he did that day meant that, his own character meant more than any title he was born with. That to him, character, self-love, self-respect has more weight than anything gold could buy, and so he turned his back on everything and started a new life
I think this is, amongst many other that I’ll cover in other analysis of the Witch King, a very likeable, surprising and inspiring quality. And for a Dark Elf, quite a human trait ;)
As one of my friend said; Dont sell your authenticity for approval, and I think Moraelyn did justt that when he chose his own character rather than certainty within his Royal bloodline.
Thank you for reading! I will do many more of those. This is a long-overdue project and im happy that I can finally share my lore-fanatism with you all.
Thank you
-EJ
May I ask why reachfolk/reachmen aren't listed on the men page?
Look, maybe it will sound dumb, but try to understand. According to my experience, in Skyrim there also are few followers, which will attack you after committing a crime. For example, Utgert Unbroken attacked me after I stole the golden claw from Lucas Valeriy; Vilkas attacked me after I killed a guy, who told me, that he's heading to Windhelm to join Ulfric (I played for the Empire back then). And as far as I know, there are also some followers, who will attack you for transforming into werewolf or vampire lord
So, what's my suggestion? Add category 4, which means, that follower will attack you for committing some crimes, and put it to Utgert Unbroken, Vilkas, Farkas, and I don't know, I should test more followers. And Fendal, as far as I know, is not trustworthy

Been watching some latest special gaming events on YouTube!
I didn't watch everything, Any news about Skyrim 6!?
It just is. in a lot of places anyways. Very majestic and stuff. I think the most beautiful place might be the inside of Azures star. What are the most beutiful places in y'all's opinion, just wondering.
I mean, if you haven't seen the inside of the star for yourself, the black star is better than Azuras star, as you can get grand souls from bandit encounters (Wich are pretty common.) and when you get in there, take time to look around.
His name is Black Panther

In Oblivion (Remastered) I'm having trouble with which major skills I should choose as a Spellsword. The pre-made class has Alteration, Blade, Block, Destruction, Heavy Armor, Illusion and Restoration as the major skills. Something tells me I need Conjuration and Mysticism. Which major skills should I go for exactly? I'm a Breton in the game just to let you know.
New meme thread just dropped.

In the Anniversary Edition, there's the The Gray Cowl Returns! creation. During the quest, you have to find the Ancestral Sword of Clan Ice-Blade and eventually give it to a stranger. There's a fairly well-known bug where you can place a quest weapon on a weapon rack before turning it in, allowing you to keep it after the quest.
That's exactly what I did.
Later, I took the sword to an enchanting table and noticed that, for some reason, the game allowed me to disenchant it. After disenchanting it, I got a very strange nameless enchantment. In the enchantment list it appears without a name, but when you click on it, its name is revealed as "Clan Ice-Blade Enchantment."
I haven't been able to find many people talking about this. Has anyone else discovered this enchantment before?
What's even stranger is that when you apply it to another weapon, that weapon behaves just like the original sword:
1.. it has infinite charges (no charge consumption at all),
2. it turns/repels undead,
3. and it seems to retain the same effect as the original quest weapon.
I'm curious how rare this actually is and whether anyone else has experimented with it.
Unlike most of you who customize their character into a ugly ahh, loney toons character, i wanna look like im the MC
In one game, and ONLY one game, I chose to wipe out the Brotherhood. Which means I never kill the princess. Which means the Emperor never comes to Skyrim. Which means the Kateriah never comes to Skyrim.
Guess where Meridias Beacon spawned?
What are some historical figures you feel would be fun to play in Skyrim and what kind of character would play as?
Obvious ones like Joan of Arc would probably be a crusader or paladin.
My beloved Nobunaga as previously contemplated could be a vampire lord or at least Daedra siding due to his Demonic persona at times.
William Wallace, a perfect barbarian or warrior fit for the Stormcloaks I feel.
Grigory Rasputin as an evil wizard could be fun, using necromancy and/or enchanting everything.
And to throw in someone not involved in politics or war, Michael Jackson as a thief... a smooth criminal if you will.
I have horrible news... I just discovered that the official ESO Dating Sim Browser Game is no longer up to play... If u don't know what I'm talking about, search for Smolder Scrolls Online.
Iv been getting this bug for a while since downloading MWSE which is pretty basic
Has anyone experienced this and know how to fix the issue or is my computer just struggling to handle all this data ?

There's a conversation between Vingalmo and Ronthil I've observed in-game which doesn't appear on their respective pages, and I want to add it in tge same style as the other conversations, but I don't know how to do so.
