Hey GUESS What?!?

No, I'm not pregnant!!!

But, YES we are moving again.

I can't believe it either.

Yes, we are crazy!

Are we ever going to settle down?!

Doubtful!

Why? I'm so glad you asked. While we LOVE living in the country, we do NOT love our $1000/mo energy bills. We do NOT love the fact that after 13 months, the county notified us that we can't have our semi trucks here or work on them because we have such a small piece of land (two acres). So factor the utilities and the cost for our business to store and maintain trucks together (along with the amount of time and fuel we spend having a life outside our home) and we are in a financial place we don't care to be. We kinda like having a life, you know?!? All I can say is, thank goodness for savings!!!

So, we are moving! We are having a house built on the very west side of Greeley. We are scheduled to close the middle of April. It is a cookie-cutter home and we are losing 1100 square feet, which will be... interesting. But we gain many other things. All our bedrooms are on the same floor which I think will be very good. We haven't had that kind of sleeping arrangement in five years. My laundry room will be upstairs and hidden -- very good for my pride! We will have a basement!!! I'm so excited about that. We were able to contract right at the beginning of this new phase of building so we got a huge lot that will work perfectly for the things we need -- lawn, garden and hidden chicken coop (wink). The hole for the foundation was dug this week and I met with the designer to pick out interior options. I was a stressed out sick mess doing it but I am very happy with what I chose. I wanted it to be just right, you know?!? Well, apparently it wasn't too bad because the designer told me she used my choices in a spec home. (Not sure if I am actually thrilled about that but it was flattering.)

We are packing and cleaning, again. This house goes on the market in a couple of days. We never did actually close on it. (Another tale for another day. It's ridiculous but I can now say it was also miraculous!)

Wish me luck with timing! We may have to live in our camper, which could be a fun adventure!

I am dreading the process but focused on the result!

Saving the Best For Last!

Image
On Tuesday, our last day spent in California, we went to Sea World. When we went to Florida a few years ago we found that we really loved it so we saved it for last this time. When you arrive at any of these parks, there are photographers that will take your picture and you can purchase a printed copy. We actually bought it but I didn't scan it in. It turned out pretty decent too. You also can buy pictures of your reaction to the dramatic falls on rides too! Though, none of those turn out too well.

Monday

Image
Monday morning was spent at the hotel pool where the kids put those boogie boards to good use again.
Image
Josh wanted to eat on the pier. We chose another pizza place and it too was really good! Have I ever mentioned that we are serious pizza lovers?!?!?
Image
Josh rented a little boat for us to cruise around in for awhile.
Image
Look! I was there that day too! And I don't have food hanging out of my mouth! Score!

Image
They look happy and content, don't they?

Image
(Josh really, really wants a boat. If I thought it would ever get used I would let him. But, as always, he works too much to make it worth the expense. If he didn't agree, I think he'd get one anyway.)
Image
Emmett had a love hate relationship with the experience due to the life jacket we tortured him with.

Image
We had a little entertainment from this sea lion. There were like three of them but this one was doing tricks for us and ended up following us back towards the dock.

Image
Aidan, surprisingly, didn't care much for the ride and was sick for awhile.

Image
Lexi, on the other hand, was happy as a lark! Heehee... Lark! Anyone get it?!?

Image
Addison hated it at first but obviously got over that. She really enjoyed steering it. And we didn't die! Yay!!!

Image
That evening, we heading back to the beach. It wasn't particularly warm but they were too excited to boogie board again to notice. This beach had a play ground and was much more busy than Coronado but it was a lot of fun anyway.

It was a fun low-key day! But sadly, our vacation was quickly passing. Only one real day left.
