Heart Transplant Anniversary

Today is the 14th anniversary of Dahlia’s heart transplant. We went out to dinner at Dahlia’s favorite restaurant to celebrate how well she is doing and 14 wonderful years of life, all thanks to her angel donor and the donor family who made the selfless decision to donate their child’s heart.

Ava graduated today from high school. The time went by way too fast! This fall she is off to Texas Stare.

13 year anniversary

Today marks 13 years since Dahlia received her heart transplant.  It’s hard to believe that it’s been 13 years already.  So very thankful for her healthy donor heart and the wonderful 13 years we’ve been able to have with her, which would have been impossible without organ donation.

Evelyn’s Baptism

Evelyn was baptized today. Daddy baptized Evelyn and Grammy gave the talk. We had a nice celebration and lunch afterwards with lots of family.

First day of school!

12th heart transplant anniversary

Today is the 12th anniversary of Dahlia’s heart transplant. We are so thankful her donor heart is still beating healthy and strong, giving her a second chance at life.

Scarecrow Festival

12 years old!

It’s hard to believe my once fragile baby, is now a big 12 year old!  Dahlia had a great birthday.  We went out for pizza and went to an arcade in the mall afterward. We had lots of fun celebrating our miracle girl!

Seven years old!

My baby is growing up way too fast! I can’t believe Evelyn is now seven years old! At seven years old she loves all things girlie, makeup; skincare, fixing her hair, dressing up. Evelyn is my little diva! She loves to go shopping and picked out the outfit she’s wearing in her birthday photos when Aiden took her on a shopping trip. Evelyn makes us all laugh with the funny things she says. She is a little ray of sunshine in our family.

Back to School

Evelyn is now in first grade, and is our only child in elementary school. Her teacher is out until September, because she recently had a baby.

Dahlia started fifth grade at the middle school. She was nervous about being able to find her way around the school and finding all of her classes. She said she able to find everything, with help from some teachers.

Laila started ninth grade and is in high school with Ava. She is taking a tennis class, and said it was so hot having to play outside in 100 degree weather!

Ava started eleventh grade and is accepted into the cosmetology program, she does that for 4 hours of the school day.
