happy birthday Aiden!

Aiden turned 9 years old on the thirteenth.  We took him out to eat for his birthday dinner.  Aiden got to pick the restaurant, and he decided on an all you can eat buffet.  He then proceeded to eat nothing but desserts.  Since it was his birthday we couldn't fuss at him too much. All of the presents he requested were $100 - $200 Lego sets, luckily he was just as happy with the football his dad picked out for him.  We love this silly little guy and all the smiles he puts on our faces.

This past Saturday Aiden was baptized.  He was so excited to finally have his special day and get baptized.  All day long he was trying so hard to be on his best behavior.  Afterwards we had a big dinner at Brian's parents house.  We are so proud of Aiden and the decision he made to follow Jesus.

last day of school

Another school year has flown by!  It's hard to believe that Ava is now done with Kindergarten.  Her school had a real nice graduation ceremony for kindergarten.  Ava was so excited for it and she got to pick out a new dress to wear on her special day.  The boys did really well in school this year.  They both got all A's for both semesters.  Aiden got perfect attendance.  Dario got advanced scores on all sections of the STAAR test, and he was one of only three students in fourth grade to receive an advanced score on the writing section of the STAAR test.  This school year wasn't as crazy as last year, but I was still in the hospital a lot with Dahlia, or busy with her care; all of the boy's accomplishments were done mostly on their own.  I'm so proud of them!
