5 months

Evelyn is five months old.  She is such a happy baby and really curious.  Evelyn still drools a lot, but still hasn't cut any teeth.  Recently, she has started pulling herself forward when she is on her stomach and she can turn around in a circle.  I have seen her get up on her hands and knees.  I think she is really close to crawling.  I bought Evelyn a little activity center, but she doesn't like sitting in it and prefers tummy time. She has also started eating baby food, although it's been a slow start and she doesn't know what to think of it yet.   Five months is such a fun age!

These cousins had lots of fun playing at the park together!  This winter has been so mild and it feels like Spring is here already.

5 year anniversary

January 28th was a very special day, five years ago, Dahlia received her heart transplant.  Her donor heart is still very healthy and we are so grateful that she has reached this huge milestone.  I realize that we are very lucky that Dahlia's heart is doing so well, although we are still struggling with her gaining weight and she still has a feeding tube. Back in November, she had to spend two weeks in the hospital due to her weight, which has been effected by the lingering Norovirus.   This was huge reminder of how fragile she is.  After Laila's baptism on Saturday we celebrated Dahlia's five year anniversary and remembered  her angel donor.  Hopefully the upcoming year brings good health and no hospital stays!
