6 Months and Crazy Hair!

Image My little princess is over 6 months old now and growing up way too fast. She is so much fun. Her hair is getting so long and just does its own thing. I put on her headband and her hair stood straight up. It is hilarious. She is so much fun and so happy all the time. I am so blessed to have such a sweet angel. I love her pretty blue eyes and chubby little cheeks. Don't you just want to squeeze them? She is a dream come true and I am so fortunate to be able to stay home with my 3 little munchkins! I love and enjoy each of them.

I just wanted to show the difference between "mom" feeding Layla and "dad" feeding Layla. I am sure many of you can relate to this. Of course the first picture of Layla is after her dad finished feeding her and she is covered in mush literally head to toe. And the second picture of her is after me (mom) feeding her. I just find it so funny. This picture is not taken on the same day even though she happens to be in the same outfit.

Image Dawson made this snowflake for me at preschool. He is so funny. He brought it home all wrapped up and set it under the tree. The next morning when I got up, the wrapping paper was on the floor and he had hung the ornament on the tree. Guess he couldn't wait for me to open it so he did it himself!

Image Chandler brought this home from church last Sunday. It is so sweet. He said, "Look mom, I sounded all the words out and wrote it by myself." It was so dang cute and he was proud as punch!

Carrie Underwood Concert!

Image Can I just say that I have loved Carrie Underwood since her tryout on American Idol?!? She is my favorite female country singer by far. So my husband got me tickets for our anniversary last August for her concert that she put on at the E Center last night! Not only just tickets, but on the floor, 8th row tickets!! We were 2 seats away from the cat walk. We could reach out and touch her. It was amazing! I even got one of her guitar picks that she herself threw out to the audience. It was exhilarating!!! And of course I got a t-shirt. If you like country music at all, I definitely recommend going to see her. She puts on a fabulous concert!

In memory of my best friend....

This past weekend my kids and my dad went down to Centerfield to see my mom's headstone that they had just finished. It was the first time being back there since her burial at end of June. Her headstone was just beautiful. It was perfect. It was her to a tee. It was very emotional as we walked to her grave. I don't know if any of you have lost someone extremely close, but as for me this is the hardest thing I've ever gone through losing my mom who has been my best friend my whole life. My dad is just the sweetest. We brought her some flowers (gerber daisies her favorite) and pulled the weeds off her grave. They haven't planted grass yet so there was a little work to do. We then sat down in front of her headstone and talked about her a bit. It was nice. I felt so close to her and it felt so good. We stayed there for a couple of hours. It was fun to spend some time with my dad and kids. It was a beautiful day!
I love you mom..........miss you more than ever!

6 Random Habits/Quirks!!

Rules to random tag:
1. Link to the person that tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.
4. Tag 6 random people at the end of your post.
5. Let each person know they have been tagged.

Random Fact #1.
I DON'T iron, WON'T iron to save my life. I would rather pay somebody 5 dollars a shirt to do it for me. I don't know what it is.......but I won't do it. Therefore, I don't buy clothes that need to be ironed. Oh and I take my husbands to the cleaners to be ironed;)
Random Fact #2.
I don't mind cleaning the house and bathrooms. But when it comes to mopping I HATE it! I know its not hard it just takes some time to bring myself to do it, I don't know why.
Random Fact #3.
I can't go to bed and fall asleep unless I have chapstick on. If I go out of town and happen to forget it, I have to get in my purse and put on lipgloss or even lipstick. I have to have something on my lips to fall asleep.
Random Fact #4.
The last thing I HAVE to do before I go to bed is use the bathroom. Even if I go pee and then brush my teeth, I have to sit on the toilet one last time. I think it must be a mental thing, having to get the last possible drop out before having sweet dreams. So like I said, going potty is the absolute last thing I have to do before jumping in bed!!
Random Fact #5.
There are certain meals I HAVE to have a diet coke with........for example pizza and chinese food. It honestly makes the food taste that much better. If there is no diet coke then some other kind of soda will work. But theres nothing like an ice cold diet coke with certain meals!
Last but not least Fact #6.
I don't like wearing shoes and socks. You will RARELY see them on me. Even if there is plenty of snow on the ground, I will wear sandals or flipflops. If I go camping or in the mountains, it makes no difference, I will be in open toed shoes. People call me crazy but I don't care for shoes and socks to say the least.
So there you have it, you just may have learned something new about me.
I tag Danae, Melissa, Laura, Adrianne, Jayne and Nicole. Have fun girls!!

It is my favorite room in the house. Now I just need to work on my boys rooms. Any good ideas or places to look? Let me know.

She is so easy going and happy all the time not to mention she sleeps through the night. What more could I ask for? I love her more than anything in the world. I am so blessed to be her mom. Isn't she the cutest girl you've ever seen?? I think so!!
