Videos of Elisa
When Gabe was an infant, I took tons of pictures but didn't take that many videos. And many of the videos that I took when he was tiny got lost when our old computer died so I only have a few that I posted on this blog. I regret not taking very many videos when he was that small (and especially not posting them); I would love to look back and see how much he has grown and changed. I thought it was pointless to take videos of him when he was that young because he wasn't "doing anything", but this time around, I've made sure to take lots of videos of Elisa, even when she was doing "nothing". It is so fun to see how tiny they are, and pictures just don't it justice.
Here are some videos I took of Elisa doing "nothing":
Falling asleep. I love the faces these babies make when they fall asleep. I tried to get a good one of her falling asleep, but this one is just okay. (3rd week of June)

Her first video--At Thunderbird hospital (May 2)
Her bed bath by the nurse (May 2)
Sittin' up (May 4th)
All dressed up! (Mother's Day-May 8th)

Bambi
Gabe's absolute favorite movie is Bambi. He can and will watch Bambi over and over! It's fun to watch him smile and laugh at his favorite parts (friend owl, the rain song, on the ice). However, I am so tired of watching Bambi I could just cry! It's the only movie he will really sit down and watch though.
Because I've seen the movie so many times, I've picked out a few errors. First, Feline's eyes change back and forth between blue and brown. It really bugs me. You'd think they would notice. Second, the number of quail chicks gradually decrease throughout the movie. Maybe Disney was being discreetly morbid or maybe there are more than one quail family. Whatever the case, I find it unsettling. Lastly, the part just after Bambi untangles his legs from trying to jump over the log and he falls on Thumper is flawed; Thumper moves off screen a second or so but then he magically appears under Bambi...weird. Can you tell I've seen this movie just a few too many times? Regardless, it still is a beautiful movie and I just love the music!
At the rain part-he laughs like crazy (of course I'm too slow to bring out my camera and miss most of him laughing!)
He loves the animals and the music

Storytime!
Every week I take Gabe to story-time at the local library. Gabe loves it and I love taking him. It is such a perfect place for him: singing, parachute, bubbles, books, toys, computers, and a train table. The best part is that he gets to play with his friends. It is SO NICE to have a clean, close, and kid-friendly library to go to. Plus it is all FREE!

Cheap and Adorable Outfits!
Little girls are SO FUN to dress! Shame on me though; with the exception of her blessing gown, I have not sewn Elisa anything yet. Someday soon I will.
These outfits are super cheap and easy to make (no sewing involved). Walmart has plain onsies for $2 (or hobby lobby for $4) and you can buy super cute sparkly iron-on appliques for $3 or $4 at any craft store, even walmart. So for as little as $5 you can "make" an adorable unique outfit, instead of buying one at a boutique that will cost you at least $30!

I love the sparkly pink. It really makes Elisa look like a little princess when she wears it.
A baby shower gift for a friend. I love how drastically different it is from all the other little girl clothes!

Gabe and Elisa's Little Pals
Do you know what is really fun? Having friends that have babies the same age as yours! My friends Jodi and Brandy and I were all due around the same time, and our babies were all born within a month of each other. It has been so much fun seeing their kiddos and mine together.
Elisa is barley a month and she already has a best friend AND a boyfriend! :P
Her Boyfriend Anders. They spent their first date falling asleep on each other.
Elisa's BF Kinley
Gabe and his girlfriend Eva mauling their younger siblings. It is SO fun to watch the older siblings with the younger ones, granted they are gentle!

Look-Alikes
Here are some pics of Gabe and Elisa around the same age (3 weeks old or so). Elisa looks so much like Gabe! They are such cute kids.

1 Month Old!
Elisa is one month old already! Here are her stats as of May 31st:
Height: 21 1/2 inches---65th percentile
Weight: 9 lbs. 9 oz------65th percentile
Head: 14 inches
She has gained 2 lbs already! She's a good size baby but not as jumbo as Gabe was. She is a good sleeper and a good eater. However, she is a little bit finicky and fussy. Or maybe that's normal. I can only compare her to Gabe and he was an angel baby. She is very particular on her position and unlike Gabe, she fights her naps. She is also the noisiest baby I've ever heard. She grunts, squeals, squeaks, and makes a variety of other noises. She is a real sweetheart though and is very alert. I'm curious as to what her eye color will be. They are not blue and not brown either. Gabe has green eyes but they were bluer but darker than her eyes when he was her age. We'll find out sooner than later I guess!
Here are some random pics, enjoy:
