I arbeidslivet blir vi fortalt at det er folk ansatt for å sørge for at vi ansatte har det bra, og som er de vi kan gå til med problemer. De pleide å bli kalt Human Resources (HR), mens de i dag ofte kalles People Team eller lignende varianter hvor «resources» ordet er byttet ut med «people», som høres ut som en postiv utvikling. Vi har blitt oppgradert fra ressurser, til mennesker!

«Everyone» uses AI for coding, at least that’s what people on stages and in social media wants you to believe. It is a train we all need to get on in order to not be left at the station. Developer relations folks from the tech monopolies are spreading a message of fear, where you get on or become unemployable. They serve up images of the infamous “COBOL developer” (who by the way most likely make more money than most, and in general has significant leverage since their skills are rare to come by), saying this will be you if you don’t get onboard now.

Hallå, åssen går det?
“Ã…ssen gÃ¥r det?” er en frase jeg pleide Ã¥pne samtaler med folk jeg møter og som ofte skapte en bra start. Det kommer automatisk og var en helt naturlig ting Ã¥ Ã¥pne med. Jeg gjør ikke det lenger, fordi jeg vet mange jeg møter av Ã¥penbare grunner ikke har det veldig bra om dagen og det er dermed et tÃ¥pelig spørsmÃ¥l. Det er ogsÃ¥ en egoistisk grunn til at jeg ikke Ã¥pner møter med andre slik lengre.
