What is a domain name and how do I get one?
A domain name is the unique address of your website on the internet. It is what people type into their browser to find you, for example www.eukhost.com.
You pay a yearly fee to keep your domain, starting from just £7.99 per year depending on the domain extension. You can register a domain here and renew a domain name through our Customer Portal, and once it is registered, it is yours to use for web hosting, email services, or to keep for future use or resale.
There are many types of domain extensions, known as Top Level Domains (TLDs). These range from country specific extensions such as .uk to specialist options like .gov.uk for government organisations. The most popular is .com, short for dot commercial.

At eukhost, we use trusted industry platforms that offer full control and flexibility. cPanel comes with our shared hosting plans and Plesk with Windows shared hosting, with both available for VPS, Cloud, and Dedicated Server solutions.

For those who prefer complete control, our VPS, Cloud, and Dedicated Server plans can also be set up without a control panel, allowing you to manage your hosting environment exactly as you wish.
What is your uptime guarantee / SLA?
We guarantee up to 100 percent network and power availability depending on your hosting plan. Shared, Reseller and VPS Hosting include a 99.9 percent uptime guarantee, while our Business and Cloud Hosting come with a 100 percent uptime guarantee. Dedicated Servers also include 99.9 percent uptime.
If uptime ever falls below these levels in a given month, you are entitled to service credit in line with our SLA. The amount of credit depends on the duration of downtime.
Our uptime guarantee excludes scheduled maintenance and events outside our direct control, such as customer configuration issues or wider network disruptions.

Before you exceed your plan’s limits, we send warning emails so you’re aware of any usage issues. Upgrading is simple and many products offer a direct upgrade option, or you can contact our team for help. When you upgrade, we generate a new invoice for the price difference, and once that’s settled, you’ll be seamlessly moved to the new plan. Whether you need more RAM, storage, CPU, or additional features, we make it easy. In most cases, even if you briefly exceed your limits, your site remains online during the upgrade.
How do I select the best web hosting plan for me?

What is your refund / money-back policy?
At eukhost, our shared hosting, reseller hosting, and VPS plans include a 30-day unconditional money-back guarantee, giving you complete peace of mind when choosing our services.
Due to the setup costs involved, dedicated servers are not covered by this guarantee.
After the initial 30-day period, we do not offer pro-rata refunds on any hosting service, as each plan is provided at a discounted rate for the full term selected. However, if you choose to upgrade your plan, our team can arrange credit from your current service towards your new plan.
Please note that domain registrations and renewals are non-refundable, except where a registration fails.

Can I cancel or upgrade/downgrade later?

VPS and Dedicated Server plans can be upgraded to higher specifications, but downgrades are not supported due to the potential risk of file corruption. Dedicated servers can be upgraded if compatible hardware is available.
If you ever wish to cancel your service, you can do so through your account portal by selecting the service to cancel.
