We all headed to Granny's house for Christmas dinner, and I forgot to take pictures. 

That night pulling away from my mom's house by the cemetery, I felt a sharp pang of unfinished business. 

The next day, Sunday, after church I drove to Elle's graveside. I sat in my car and cried and cried. I hadn't done that for a very long time, and it felt really good.

For Christmas, Rawlin gave us a Coke bottle full of cash, and we promptly lost it. Rob was sick about it. We looked everywhere. Until 3 days later when I looked under the coffee table...

On that note, I'll wrap up this blog after 14 years, Feb. 2008 - Dec. 2021, and transition to Instagram for the foreseeable future.

Let the Games Begin!

Christmas Wrap: Place two crepe paper rolls on the floor. Hold the end of one crepe paper roll in each hand and unwrap by only moving your arms. Fastest time wins.

Jingle Juggle: Keep 3 balloons in the air for as long as possible. Longest time wins.

Chimney Drop: put as many tennis balls as you can between your legs, run/hop/scoot to the hula hoop, and drop them into the hoop. The most tennis balls inside the hoop by the end of one minute wins.

Santa Hat: Pour out or drink some water in a new water bottle, replace the cap, then flip the bottle once around until it stands on its own again. Next, take a red Solo cup and flip it onto the top of the bottle. Fastest time wins.

Marbleous Mistletoes: Place as many marbles in the cup as possible using only your toes. Most marbles in the cup in one minute wins.

Bonus Round

Christmas Cash Can: Three tries to roll the can of soda to stop on a bill. If any part of the can stops on the bill, the player gets that bill and takes it off the table. 

We let the player with the least total points start first with the most cash targets, so the player with the most total points has fewer cash targets. 

We put the highest dollar bill at the very end and edge of the counter. Everyone went for that bill, and everyone failed... until the overall point winner pushed the perfect roll and won... again!

Cam won! Cam never wins! The youngest cub who would never let you spot him all growing up in our house full of competitive teenagers—it's all paid off, literally. And he probably needs the cash prizes the least. Bragging rights is what's up 💪
