So, about 3 years ago Stanford built a new football stadium. Last week Chris commented that we hadn’t been to a game since it was finished (true). He decided that we really ought to go so we decided to go the the Washington game this past Saturday. I fully expected Stanford to lose (it has been a bad season for my teams thus far, and Washington had upset USC to win the week before). However, after providing us with exciting insight into the swine flu (FLEW below & if you look closely you will see a pig with wings on the field) the Stanford band reminded us of the epic 2007 game…
Those of you who have heard in detail about our trip to Argentina several years ago will know that on a trip we occasionally stumble upon a bit of local wisdom, and that becomes the theme for the trip. In southernmost Argentina this gem was “Anything is possible…” And apparently it was because we did indeed get out to the boat to see the “pingüinos”.
Meanwhile, in Provance (southern france) we gained our bit of wisdom for this trip. What we learned was, the proper answer to the question “Réservé?” is “Oui”.
After picking a restaurant at the base of Mt Ventoux and having our B&B make a reservation (rule success #1) we drove up to the top of the mountain.
