Over Christmas Mom mentioned that she needed a new knitting project. I (extremely generously) offered to let her make some new leg warmers for Audrey (the first pair has proven extremely popular).
Mom had a knitting book with some really fancy patterns that she said I could choose from – apparently the one I chose was rather challenging (sorry mom!)
Anyhow, she finished them last week, and they came in the mail a few days ago. After church today I decided it was time to model them.
If you spoke to me while I was pregnant then I probably told you that the reason I was excited to have a girl first was the chance to dress her up. (My reasoning was that the first child is the one that you are likely to have the most energy to do this with.) Hence I am pleased to announce that Audrey wore a new dress to church today – and she looked darling!
Over Christmas I didn’t have room in my luggage to bring my new camera, so Mom let me use hers – a very nice new Nikon digital SLR. And since Charity and Jared both got new haircuts (Charity cut Jared’s and Mom cut Charity’s – didn’t she do a great job?) Charity asked me to come out and take a picture of them. I thought that she just wanted a quick snapshot on the driveway, so I just went out in my socks.
Turns out it was a photo shoot on the side lawn, so I just ended up taking my socks off…

As with many other babies, Audrey is at her most fun in the morning. That fact often has me grabbing the camera and running to the crib (well, mini crib) so you will forgive me if you mostly get to see her pajamas. I swear that my daughter does have clothes, and I get her dressed almost every day…

I took Audrey to her 2 month appt yesterday (really she is 9 weeks now, but it was when the doctor was available). She weighed 12 lbs 7 oz, and was 22.5 inches tall. She has really grown since she was born. She has also changed in many other ways, she has started to smile and sometimes laugh (yea) and last week she started to notice toys…
