For ages now Audrey has been trying to sit up on her own by lifting her legs and contracting her stomach muscles. Great for her abs, but when you are a baby and hence have relatively short legs and a large head it just isn’t that successful a strategy to move from flat on your back to sitting position.
Recently Audrey has also been trying to crawl. While she has been making progress it hasn’t been forward progress – she has been going backwards.
Yesterday she put the two together:
Learning new stuff all the time does not come without some challenges. You have to try everything until something works, and that can cause a few bumps along the way.
Sometimes you just enjoy leaning way back in your bouncer

Today we went to the Maker Faire. We met some friends there, and very conveniently ran into half of them as soon as we made it in the door. The next thing that we ran into were motorized people cupcakes (although Jane insisted they were muffins):
