lesson 34 - its not that i don't give, i can't give up

time flies as the end date for this transition is almost up.

but hearing those music, the music that i have spent almost most of my time while i'm doing my civil engineering degree, i had flashed back on few occasions while looking at few faces, not so new ones and the new ones.

and i felt glad that i was entrusted by the ones before me

and i felt glad that i entrusted it to the ones after me

and i felt glad that i don't give up on certain people. 

and i felt glad that they also doesn't give up on certain people

and i felt glad that i still there looking at their growth

and i felt glad that i can still come and continue playing

and i felt glad that i can still come and continue to enjoy

as people become more valuable over time

as people become more reliable over time

as people become more dependable over time

some may take more time than others

some may take shorter time than others

that's human

as Allah doesn't give up on us, hence we should also not give up on ourselves

and others

the larger the challenge, the closer we should get to each other. to give support, to strengthen, to help. and from there, success will come to those who are remembrance of Allah and to those who have the patient and passion for success.

this is my second nephew, qa'id aged 3 months. he had reminded me on how tough it can be to photograph a baby, and yes it is tough. out of few frames that i have taken of his image, this is the best that i could have. others? not up to standards plus he had his mood upside down.

would try to do it again later, with more mental and physically prepared.

how cute can a baby be, thanks to Allah for such a creation.

Ensemble in G (EiG) and Space Gambus Experiment (SGE)

assalamualaikum wbt!

we did it, in short. as january kicks in, we have started our first training for this event. Ensemble of Gamelan aside from a normal gamelan showcase is something that we would always try to make it. It's a celebration of 10 years anniversary of Gamelan UTP, our previous-current-associate-loved gamelan group.

without Gamelan UTP being existed and founded by our seniors, we would not be able to play gamelan, as we are now. graduated, working yet playing gamelan to our heart content! we loved music, we loved to play gamelan, and we enjoyed being part of gamelan. there are a lot to it aside from music, there is legacy, tradition and long history of using gamelan to promote something great.

and there we are, after performing at Ensemble of Gamelan (EoG), we were invited to perform at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS together with our associate, Space Gambus Experiment. It is an outstanding oppurtunity even for us, despite some of us had played here before with Gamelan UTP, but for EiG, it is a starting point. 

this is where we would return to, to play our songs to other people.

for both of the event, we performed song entitled 'Kepulangan' where it bring the idea of us, the graduated student to play a song showing that we are still here, holding to gamelan.

and thank you to all EiG players. without you, we would not be able to complete this huge milestone, celebrating 10 years anniversary as well as rising up our level to another level. 

we would always continue the legacy, the tradition as well as exploring new ways of gamelan performance.

with that, we open our humble hands to those people who wanted to collaborate with us, insyaAllah we can maintain this legacy and at the same time bring gamelan to a different game.

as the sun rise, it brings a new hope, new plan, new things to work to. 

as long as you have few things such as:-

1) objective for that plan

2) a clear plan what you would do

3) have a confidence, and 

4) reside to Allah 

and insyaAllah, when the time comes, you be ready for it.
