Blue and Gold - March 2019

For our Blue and Gold banquet we chose a western theme. Somehow I got 'roped' into providing the entertainment, so who should I turn to??? Of course, Tony and Cade!! And they did a fabulous job!! I wanted to create some sort of a melodrama but did not have the time or energy to come up with it so I handed it over to Tony and he, as Sheriff Sharpshooter Smith, and Cade, as Mad Dog McCain put on a two man western show like no other. What talent I have in my family!! And I am so thankful that they both are always so willing to do it! The Cub Scouts loved being a part of the show and Tony was able to figure out a way to get them all involved. The Cub Scouts were able to 'capture' the bandit Mad Dog McCain and Cade had a blast playing along with them!

 Kris and Terry were in town so Kris and I went through some of the pictures of Grandma's and Grandpa's that I ended up with. We found some pretty choice ones!!

February 2019

 The fan from outer space was replaced by a dome light. So fun to see my boys working together on little projects like these!!

And look how cute Elle's static hair is!!

Last Day - Trip to Arkansas - February 2019

 The kids loved to climb into my bed in the mornings and watch their shows. I did not mind one bit! I was sad to know that we would be leaving this day. I love being with my grandkids because they are so sweet and so much fun! It was nice that Emma and Elle could come too so that the cousins could play together and get to know each other better. Some day we hope that Tati and Ashton will be able to live closer (preferably in Utah!!)

 These two became pretty good little pals!

 When we got to the airport, I wanted to have my picture taken with the kids before we left. It was pretty difficult getting them to all sit on my lap and be happy and face the camera.

 

 

We were lucky to get seated next to each other on the first three flights of our trip but when we got to Dallas, they said they were too full and we would have to keep our assigned seats. Emma was a trooper holding Elle the whole time we were on the plane. Elle had fallen asleep and Emma was roasting but could not do anything about it since she was stuck by two other people she did not know. Elle did not have any problems flying and that made it a bit easier for Emma. What fun we had on this girl's trip!!

 

Walmart Museum - February 2019

The one day that we had to go sightseeing it was REALLY cold! They wanted to take us to a museum they like to go to with the kids but it turned out that it was closed on Tuesdays! So we went to Bentonville to see the Walmart Museum. Who knew?? There was a really cute 5 and dime store at the beginning of the museum with old fashioned candy and all sorts of cute stuff. I ended up buying some metal signs with super heroes on them for Tony's office and some bags of candy to take home.

We wandered through the museum to learn all about how Walmart came to be. The kids just liked running around, as kids do:)

Ashton got to see what he would look like as a Walmart associate. Probably the most handsome associate I have ever seen!!

There was a wall of all the Walmart buttons..........and there were many!!

We then went to the adjoining ice cream shop and indulged. Everything was made to look like the 50's and 60's eras. Those were the good ole days!!

 After the museum, we went to a taco place called Trick Dilly. They made all sorts of tacos and we were lucky that it was a day that some company offered to buy us an order of loaded nachos!! They were the BEST part of the whole meal!
