A little behind so I am posting Halloween and Mattee's birthday party soon. Halloween was fabulous. The weather couldn't have been better. Our Kelsee stayed home with her friends and had two different parties and was a vampire attending a ball, Mattee was our glow in the dark nerd, Avree was out little indian and Hadlee our little pink lady. They had a great time going up to the doors and picking the treat they wanted. Hadlee was so cute...she had to make sure with the person giving out the candy that it was ok to take the one she chose. They would nod their heads and say yes you can have that one. I was realy surprised that they left their wigs on most of the night. Hadlee's kept falling off so I told her I would just hold it. Mattee stayed out with a couple of her friends and their mom why we took the little one's back and she came home with a bag FULL of candy. I love that there where so many more kids out this year trick-or-treating. We had a great time carving pumpkins but Hadlee did not like the feeling of the guts. She didn't even want to hold the stem.

I turned 2...

Hadlee Belle turned 2 on Sunday, September 4th. She is so fun and such a little character. We got her a cabbage patch doll with blonde curly hair like hers and to our surprise when we looked at her name (not knowing until we opened it) Belle Michelle. So she has a baby named after her. She pushed her baby around all night long. We made cupcakes and sang happy birthday which she then ate her cupcake while feeding her face and hair. This weekend we are taking her to the State Fair to see the animals and ride the ponies. She loves animals and screams with excitement everytime she see's one no matter what it is. She love to play with dolls, read, jump, run, help mommy cook, exercise with mommy and just about anything with mommy. She for sure is a mommy's girl. She makes us laugh everyday. She is our happy pill for sure. We are so blessed to have her in our lives. We love you with all our hearts Hadlee Belle. Mommmy

14 Years Old...

Today is my first born, Kelsee Paige's, 14th birthday. I still remember the day holding our first child in our arms and promising to her that I won't ever let anything happen to her and be the best mom. This is a promise you can't always keep I know because of the world we live in but I can try. It seems just like yesterday I made these promises to her. Kelsee is truely a daughter of God. She is kind hearted, loving, sweet, funny, beautiful, spiritual, talented, and caring. I thank God everyday for the beautiful blessing of being a mother. Kelsee is the perfect example of what a young women and sister should be. I am proud and amazed of her as she teaches, learns and respects those around her. I know as a mom you think all your children are wonderful and special (which they are without a doubt) but I can not tell you how many mother's, father's and young women have shared what "A special daughter I have" and tears from them appreciating her example and friendship. Hearing this from others makes my heart and soal weap with joy as I can't help but think her Oma' had a lot to do with this as she raized and loved for her everyday while Jamie and I work fulltime. We are best friends and the filling of this can't make a mother happier and proud. She is a perfect little mother to her sisters and those she tends and I know within my heart she will be the best mother to her own. Kelsee you make me smile everyday and the words cannot express enough the love and joy you bring to your dad's and I's life. Thank you for being you and choosing us to live our lives learning and loving the perfect example you are. I love you to the moon!

Summer Days...

Are there times that you sit and ponder at how special your children are and what a true blessing they are in your life. The days that you just sit and stare at their beauty within and out and know how proud they make you feel. The memories and trends they keep going with from when you were a child. The over joy of love and laughter spent with them each day. The examples they are and their God like spirits reminding you daily the meaning of "family". The simple joys of happiness. My girls are so special to me and they own my whole heart. They remind daily the meaning of life and love. I am truely grateful for their lives and example.
On a second note Kelsee took a writing class this year for school and brought me home this amazing entry. It brought tears to my eyes and reminded me of the fun times "back when" we spent them with Oma' and the simple things in life. She is an amazing young lady and a special person to all those around. There are days I wish I could call their Oma' and share stories and laughs with her. I am grateful to know that I will some day catch up on all our stories, hugs and kisses. But for know I have the joy of my "family". See the entry below from Kelsee.
Summer Days
I wake to the sweet smell of cinnamon being shaken. The sight of my grandma making her famous pies. The smile on her face once I’m spotted. The warm summer’s air blowing through an open window; the sun in the sky nearly blinding me with each glance I take. The heat; rising from the stove. My hands; white from kneading the fresh made dough. The way it feels as I press my palm into the center of the soft mixture. The birds chirping on the new grown trees. As I run outside; I feel the heat rush down my spine. I grab a stiff part of bark and work my way up the tall enormous tree. Once I reach the top I spot a crystal like object attached to a bright green leaf. I know right away it must be a caterpillar. Even yet; a butterfly that’s yet to come. Every day I watch the insect; until one day I see the process of a butterfly emerging from its wrapping; it spreads its wings and discovers the world for the first time. I leap to the ground and fly beside it; till I see it no longer. I lie upon the fresh cut grass and gaze in to the sky. I see all the birds flying in the air; enjoying the weather that’s been set this month. I pass the birds and peer to the clouds; to the shapes that have been made for child’s eyes to see. I see a flower; a bunny, and even a tree. These things are so marvelous to me. I join my family once again to feast on fresh picked raspberries and my grandmas cinnamon pies. With each bite I take, the flavor bursts in delight; but all is soon to be gone. Till this very day I eat fresh raspberries and pie; reminding me of the good summer days that once was shared.
