Family Cruise 2010

I realize it's been a while since I've posted but here it is. Pictures from the Fox Family Vacation!! Enjoy, there will be journaling and more pictures later, I'm sure.

Image Taylor and Avery at the Pizza Shop on the ship, before even leaving Florida. Taylor made a best friend there, the pizza man, I can't remember his name. Look at her face!! He even told her he would name is daughter Taylor. :)
And handsome Avery. Oh look how grown up my baby is!!

Taylor currently - in this pic - had strep, poor thing. Don't you just want to wrap a blanket around her fevered little body?

Tay (feeling better) and the famous elephant made of towels. I'm sure if there were sunglasses found in the room the elephant would be wearing them.

ImageThey swam, a lot!

Tay, can't wait to go!

"Love ya, Aunt Stef" he's saying.

Peace.

This is one of Stefanie's favorite pictures. She says "Tracy, your skin looks so pretty. And I love the glasses! Makes you look distinguished."
Happy May 2010!

Minnetonka Cave

I'm trying to do a little catch-up here. So .... back in June, Erin had a softball tournament up in Montpelier, Idaho. We did A LOT of sitting around, and waiting for games to start that were 2 hours behind schedule. But another mom and I decided to take our little "softball orphans" and do something that they might enjoy. We went to the Minnetonka Cave. I must say that we will be better prepared, as far as shoes and clothing, next time we enter a cave. When they say 42 degrees, they really mean it! The girls did great!ImageTaylor, Oaklee and Brooklyn - ready for the adventure.
Image Taylor and I posing in front of some cool stalagmites.

ImageAll worn out (and frozen) after the adventures under the earth. What a great way to kill a couple of hours that otherwise would have been spent eating and sitting. Notice the sun. It's about the only sun we saw all weekend!

Braces Removed

I never did get the pictures posted of Taylor getting her braces put on, so I'll do that now -

She needed braces because her top left tooth wasn't growing in. It was bumping into her bottom teeth, making them loose. So 8 months of braces was the solution.
Image
She was really excited, as most people are before they actually get braces. But after sitting in the dentist chair for a couple of hours with this big thing in her mouth, the fun was gone. Here she is signing "OW" to me.

Image
Image So, 7 months later, she was thrilled to be able to get them off. She got them off right before school ended, and she now wears a cook bright pink, glow-in-the-dark retainer.

ImageSee how happy she looks to get those things off!! Image

Taylor's Softball

Well, I ignored all the screaming and crying about not wanting to play softball this summer, and signed Taylor up. She says that she gets enough of it between Avery's and Erin's games, which is probably true. She has really enjoyed it, YAY!!! She only has one little girl on the team that she knows, everyone else goes to a different school. Thank heavens it's one of her good friends. I think she has actually surprised herself with how well she is playing, and how much she knows about the game compared to some of the other girls. It's fun, and gives her something to do that we all get to cheer about.

They have won all of their games so far - Go Taylor!!!!

Summer Job!

Avery got a summer job!! He will be working for Zebra Gardens. Not sure what all he'll be doing, but definitely manual labor!!! Good thing he's been weeding! I'm so proud of him. He went in for the job interview, and his new boss came out and told me "that went well, and Avery has been hired". Thanks, Jon, for the info on this place, and for making sure that I called.

Blue Sky!?!?!??!?

Image
Wow! Would you look at that! Of course, this was taken yesterday, and it is currently raining. I just wanted to show everyone what Avery is capable of. He has decided that he wants to weed the property line by himself this year, and then he can keep all of the earnings. He worked for about three hours today, taking advantage of the nice weather. It really was a beautiful day yesterday.

Taylor's Birthday

I know it's been over a month since my baby turned 9, but I'm way ahead since I haven't done Avery and Erin's yet. Anyway, every year on Taylor's birthday we are usually in Orem at a softball tournament. Many of you have helped us celebrate down there, right? Well, this year was no different. So we had a little friend party for Taylor the Wednesday before her birthday. The girls seemed to have a fun time - it was nothing spectacular, just your no-nonsense, playful birthday party.

Here are some pictures of her birthday party- - - -
