  I was engaged as a freelance professional by FrenchFlair, a digital consultancy agency that works on software solutions aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion, with clients like ACTION, THOM group, Electro Depot, etc.

  Key responsibilities included:

  • Working on the frontend of the main application 1PAD.fr, a quiz game like duolinguo, aimed at educating companies about accessibility and diversity
  • Adapting the app visual image and content for new companies, with THOM as one of the first clients at thom.1pad.fr

• Backend Developer & DevOps at Sparkup

  Freelance (Oct 2024 to Jan 2025)

  I was engaged as a freelance professional by Sparkup, a cutting-edge streaming solution designed for large-scale events. Sparkup offers live streaming and digital interactive experiences for conferences, concerts, and corporate events, along with expert support for organizing digital events. Their portfolio includes internal events for high-profile clients such as Decathlon, Nestlé, and L’Oréal. A notable project was The Great Dictation for the Climate, which was broadcast to over 10,000 viewers. For this event, Sparkup managed video streaming, an emoji reaction wall, a webcam wall showcasing all connected participants, and integrated real-time comments.

  Key responsibilities included:

  • Migrating the infrastructure from AWS ECS to Scaleway bare metal servers to optimize server costs.
  • Implementing an on-demand provisioning and decommissioning system for servers during live sessions using temporal.io and Pulumi, tailored to the new Scaleway setup.
  • Conducting stress tests with Grafana/k6 to ensure the new servers could efficiently scale with fluctuating traffic.
  • Transitioning an existing custom Python WebSocket server to a more scalable solution using Centrifugo.

  Freelance (Jul 2024)

  I was approached as Freelance to work on Procurato, a Next.js app designed to provide a better UI for querying the German company database handelsregister.de and retrieving information such as titles, capital, and registration documents. My responsibilities included:

  • Migrating the app’s data-fetching process to Inngest, a background job service, to improve performance, as the app previously fetched documents directly on request, leading to slow response times.
  • Implementing new features to query and download historical documents, including the list of shareholders and documents related to various fundraising stages.

  I joined Modular Cloud as a full-stack developer in September 2023, initially as a contractor, and became full-time in November. ModularCloud builds open-source tools for blockchain developers, and I primarily worked on a block explorer for viewing blockchain data. My key responsibilities included:

  • Migrating the project from its old design to a new design system in collaboration with a designer.
  • Implementing an Electron port for a local developer-friendly version of the app.
  • Improving the codebase and resolving performance issues as new features were added.

  I was contacted by Propr Consulting for the integration of their new landing page.
  We started with a Figma mockup containing 3 pages, integrated the project with Next.js and TailwindCSS, and deployed the site on Vercel.

  As a frontend developer at monemprunt.com, I worked on:

  • Migrating monemprunt.com from Drupal to Gatsby/Strapi, deploying on Google Cloud.
  • Implementing a reusable design system and component library. Demo
  • Creating a monorepo for all frontend websites and apps.
  • Developing mortgage simulator widgets for partner websites, redirecting users to monemprunt.com. Demo
  • Integrating pro.monemprunt.com, showcased at the “RENT” real estate exhibition in Paris (Oct 2021).
  • Configuring a root Google Cloud Platform load balancer to deploy all services with Google Cloud Run (for APIs) and Cloud Storage (for frontend), migrating old services to a fully cloud-based environment.

  ZaneOps is an open-source, self-hosted Platform as a Service (PaaS) for deploying and managing applications, inspired by projects like Railway, Vercel, and Coolify. This platform allows developers to deploy apps on their own servers without manually managing CI/CD and configuration.

  A GitHub clone built with Next.js, utilizing the new App Router paradigm and server components. The goal was to recreate GitHub’s UI and core functionality from the ground up. Key features include a custom-built issue search page, from database design to UI, closely mirroring GitHub’s backend structure. Additionally, the UI was enhanced with a more effective keyword highlighting system in the search input.

  The streamer silvereledev organised a charity event in December 2022 bringing together several streamers in the programming sphere of Twitch for a 48H live-streaming marathon,
  called the dev-event, a nod to the zevent organised by Twitch streamer Zerator.
  As part of this event, I participated in an open-source project to run the event: “Who wants to win sh*tcoins?”, a nod to the TV game Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? but whose reward is a virtual currency called sh*tcoin 💩 😄.
