Been with the series from the start and I'm hyped to finally see how it all begins. Wonder if there will be any big bads, and how many retcons they will make or avoid.
What's on your mind?

This has been bothering me for years and I think its worth doing.
The Locust are a species, the Locust Horde (or just Horde) is the official government they were under until the fragmentation into the Queen's Guard and Savage Locust.
That would be like combining the Humans page with the COG page.
I think there should be a distinction. The Locust Horde page would be about their history, government, culture, etc. The Locust (species) page would be about the races of Locust (Drones, Boomers, Kantuses, Berserkers, Ragers, Sires, and Queens).
We don't need to do it for the Swarm, yet. They remain an organism with no clear society or government. Just a hive like bees or ants.

I had played all of the previous Gears games last year and am currently playing Tactics, I can’t believe that I had slept on these games for ages (at least referring to the original trilogy). So I am here to discuss on when I think that we will see E-Day release this year and what my hopes are for it.
So I feel like a Fall/Autumn date feels very likely, not only because it is near the 20th anniversary for the franchise but also due to the amount of time that The Coalition will need to finish/polish the game and to also kick of marketing, a Summer date could be possible too but then again loads of games are coming out by then and my earlier point still stands. The devs need to avoid a November date realistically because we all know about GTA 6 (even if it is coming out this year?).
My hopes for this prequel are theses;
More screen time with Dom & Maria (pre-kidnapping).
New cosmetics options (in-game as items you earn, not as paid micro-transaction BS).
New combat attacks (drop kicking, knife throwing etc).
Smarter AI of both enemies & allies (everyone is more self-aware).
More screen time with the GOAT, Tai Kaliso and adapt the part in the cannon on where he used a chainsaw against a locust drone which gives way to the Chainsaw Lancer (Lancer Mark II)
See you all soon on the battefield Gears!🔥
It just occurred to me, what if Gears 6 will pull a Wolfenstein and make two different paths based on who you saved back in Gears 5.

I've never seen anyone mention this, but there's a quip in Gears 5 that's a portion of Marcus' tomato rant, with the quip having Marcus say "They fucked my tomatoes up!". I haven't seen it anywhere and I don't know if anyone else knows.
Today, on the same day, the first game published by PlayStation Studios, Helldivers 2, is released on Xbox. In turn, Gears of War: Reloaded is released on PS5 - the first game in the series to appear on a console from Sony
May there be a long and strong peace!

Since Netflix is moving further with live-action Gears of War, David Leitch is going to direct the film. If Microsoft and Netflix are planning to make an adaptation of Gears of War into a trilogy, assume either a first movie needs success (if you’re following the recent Netflix release of the category of films theys mostly never that good even when adoption either as a video game that’s none-animation or anime). The live action Gears of War would obviously cover roughly the first game. Here's who I personally think would fit best as the notable characters that we see in GoW 1…
Marcus Fenix: Scott Eastwood
Dominic "Dom" Santiago: Diego Boneta
Augustus "Cole Train" Cole: Tyus Bowser
Damon Baird: Lewis Pullman
Adam Fenix: Dave Bautista
Anthony Carmine: Noah Fearnley
Victor Hoffman: Brent Huff
Minh Young Kim: David Lim
Queen Myrrah: Cate Blanchett
Anya Stroud: Nina Bergman
I wanted to ask why GOW4 is rated R18+ instead of MA15+ like the rest? im in australia so im not sure if the rating systems differ to much depending on everyone else's country. also is it ok if I play GOW5 first or GOW4 to wait because i will miss out on too much lore and good gameplay.
So I bought The Slab when it was release in 2012.
And I saw that my hardcover had the Coalition's End printed on it while the inner title was identified as The Slab.
I am not sure if it was a common problem at the time, but everyone I speak with whom got the 1st edition does not have that error. Can you guys confirm?
I made a private short video to show what I mean: https://youtube.com/shorts/Rm7445IeOWE?si=vBHNkbYU06LaOlDU
Happy thanksgiving 2024, gears of war fans!
