Growing Baby!

Julian is now a little over 2 months and he is almost 13 lbs at his weigh in today at the clinic. The doctor is very satisfied with all his progress so far. He also got his second hep shot. He didn't cry as long this time with the shot. ^_^ He's also getting more portable as well. Nick and I have been able to take him out to some restaurants every now and then and he's been very good. He loves to look around and see new things. He's also a lot better in the car seat as well as riding around in the car. He likes to go to new places and doesn't mind meeting new people. After a while, he even starts talking to them. His smiles are more often and may be starting to giggle...it could just be gas, though. =P

We went to a restaurant called Sakura. It's very much like Benihana.

Happy Halloween!

No costume this year, just a cute "first" Halloween outfit. Probably next year we'll find something for him to wear. We didn't go trick or treating this year either because it would seem a bit weird for a 2 month year old to be collecting candy. ^_^ So, we stayed home and passed out candy to older trick or treaters. Not many came due to the on and off showers and we ended up with more candy than we thought we would have left. =/ I guess it's a good we didn't go trick or treating then. =)

New Baby = New Car

I got a new car today! It's a Toyota Venza! I really like this car so far. It's not as low as a sedan, but it's not as tall as an SUV, which makes getting the car seat in and out of the car pretty easy. It is a bit wider than the Highlander, so I need to get used to that. The driving is wonderful. It's a very smooth ride and the seats are comfortable. I do love the fact that there is a spot to put my iPod. Julian seems to like it...at least he wasn't complaining when he was riding around today. ^_^

Bell Babies!

The community handbell ensemble Nick and I are a part of had three members (including myself) have babies born in the month of August. We finally brought the three of them together during one of the rehearsals for pictures. It seems Julian was the calmest of the three during the photo sessions. He was just chillin' and looking around taking in all the new things.

It Can Only Be Jared!

When Nick came home, it wasn't quite time to relax yet. We had another friend visit us from Wisconsin! Our friend Jared decided to spend some of his vacation time with us. ^_^ For his short stay here, we did manage to visit the Zoo and the National Cathedral. It was my first time to both attractions. Too bad it was hot and humid. =( But I still had fun.

When Nick's Away...

Luckily for me, his trip to Singapore was cancelled due to the event being postponed till March. That brought down his days away from me from a month to two weeks. ^_^ During his first week away from me, three awesome friends flew over to visit me. =D Sarah, Lindsay and Jennifer came and stayed over for about a week to keep me and Chobi company. Of course, we did stuff in DC; we saw the monuments, memorials and museums. We even managed a BBQ at home! It was yummy! ^_^ Chobi was very happy to have the company and the attention.

Updated House Photos

Well, here are updated pictures of our nesting home. We love the house and the location is good for us. The neighborhood is very nice. We've actually met a few of the neighbors and there are lots of children that play together outside. There's even an ice cream truck that comes by! =D The house isn't where we want it to be, but we are still happy with what we've done so far. There are still boxes lying about but at least most of them are empty. ^_^ I definitely still need to buy just a couple more things for the nursery, a small desk to put downstairs and a couple of side tables for the living room. Thanks to my mom for the tea tables! They've come in handy. ^_^ Nick's taken out some of the wood panels in the dining room. At least we now know what we have to deal with when we finally fix the walls. I want to do some gardening here and there, but that's going to have to wait till much later.

Memorial Day Weekend

Eric and Shannon spent Memorial Day with us! Lots of food was eaten but lots of fun was had. I wasn't able to ride on the Segway tour, but I was able to take some pictures of those who could. ^_^

Despite all the mess...

At least one of us in this house is finding the time to relax and enjoy the new setting...

Chobi has totally loved the deck since we've moved in. She practically spends the whole day outside "sunning" herself. ^_^ She does bark on occasion, but I am thankful that she is not the only barking dog in the neighborhood.

5 months!! It's a Boy!

All is well with me thus far. My tummy is getting bigger every month. Hopefully, I'll have pictures of me as soon as I can find the camera in all of our mess. ^_^ Getting things organized in our new house has been tiresome and slow, but we've finally picked out some carpet for our stairs and the second floor. As soon as that gets puts in, we can finally get the house in order and get started on figuring out what all else we need to buy for the house. -_-

11 Weeks 4 Days

I am doing well at this stage of my pregnancy. I have not have any morning sickness of any kind, so I'm very thankful for that, but I have been getting tired more easily. I have to say that moving stuff into our new house has been slowed down. There is still a lot that needs to be packed and I cannot lift the heavy stuff anymore. =( We have started painting some of the rooms, but because of my "condition", I am limited in what I am able to do so Nick has been doing a lot of the painting. ^_^

We're Having a Baby!!!!!!!

I went in for an ultrasound today and I am about 8 weeks along. The baby is about the size of a gummi bear at this point. Although small, we did see the heart beat. ^_^

This is the *real* New House

Yep, we close on the house in February. As you can see, it will need some work, but Nick and I already have many ideas in mind on what we want to do with some of the rooms. ^_^ It's only a little over a mile from where we live right now, so that should make moving a lot easier this time around.
