    This is another fantastic story in the Gansett Island Series. That I've now read multiple times, and each time I honestly think it gets better. As the characters are so likable and the story itself so entertaining, enjoyable, fun and engaging. And I for one just can't help going back for more.

    Grant McCarthy is still bitter and sad over losing his fiancée Abby, after ten years together she had returned to Gansett Island and was now engaged to the local doctor. At his sister's wedding he decides to make Abby jealous by leaving with Stephanie. There was a real spark between him and Stephanie, but it was Abby he was in love with.
    When I started to read this I have to admit I was a little put off by the beginning, I dreaded that Grant was going to be a complete jerk and use Stephanie just to make Abby jealous, without considering her feelings. I was a bit bothered that for a seemingly intelligent guy he just didn't get it that it was over between him and Abby. I really liked all of the sub plots they added an extra dimension to the story. The loves scenes in this episode are the hottest of the series so far, and this is quite an emotional read all round. I did like this it is certainly much better than the last story. This is a good addition to the series.

    I was wondering what would be next up in this series and this fourth book did NOT disappoint. The story of Grant and Stephanie was very indepth, interesting, sexy, humorous, and emotional. I love how Marie Force writes her characters and they are all very different and original characters. There are things that Marie infuses in each character that, when the reader thinks of that character they know EXACTLY who that character is without mixing them up with another character.
    This is where Marie excels. She gives us variety in human-personality. Obviously; each character is well fleshed-out BEFORE pen (or keyboard) is taken in hand. As a reader of a few thousand romance-genre novels - I NOTICE the difference in Marie's writing. I NOTICE the small things she gives us that so many others leave out for sake of saving time.
    It's the details that make such a difference in the reader's enjoyment and entertainment.
    Marie delivers and has in EVERY one of her books and I've now read them all to this date on my review.

    I love the Gansett Island series and recommend it highly and equally so the 'FATAL' series. Oh heck; every book Marie has written is fantastic reading; even the stand alone novels.

    I can hardly wait for the next 'FATAL' series book and the next 'GANSETT-ISLAND' book - both of which are coming soon. Special mention to the 'TREADING WATER TRILOGY' which I wish was going beyond the 3rd novel. It too: quite wonderful!

    What else did I love about this particular book? That we were updated on all the characters that came out in the prior GANSETT ISLAND books. It's like one big family and I love it from beginning to end.
