Flora Shedden is a food writer, baker, and shopkeeper. She owns and runs ARAN Bakery and LON Store, both of which are heavily focused on good food, community and local produce. She has written a weekly baking column for the Sunday Telegraph and worked with the BBC presenting a variety of food programmes. She lives at home with her partner James and their small spotty dog Sorrel. Her books include GATHERINGS, ARAN and SUPPER.

It’s okay
Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2023The book is well-written and chatty, but is low on recipes that make you want to start listing ingredients to shop for or that makes you want to call up friends for dinner or even just go into the kitchen and start cooking. It reminds me a bit of early Anna Jones and the pics remind me of hers too, lots of soft focus shots of table cloths and napkins when all I want are sharp shots of food.
