Update on our crazy, busy, boring, wonderful life!!

Wow I've been horrible at updating lately! Not good at all, but I'm going to start doing better since this is the only journal type thing that I use. I think blogs are sorta boring to read when it's just words and that's how this post is going to be because I always forget to get my camera out when we're off having fun. So I'll just do a quick update on things that have happened since my last post...yes that was in June or July! Yikes!

  • Summer was great for both of us! We LOVE summer and all the fun that comes along with it! This summer we went to Disneyland with the James' (pictures and post to come!), worked way, way more then we should have because we hardly ever saw each other (except from about 10-12 at night before bed), spent WWWAAAAYYYYY too many hours at the softball fields, I got certified to teach group fitness, went on a couple little camping trips, didn't cook one meal at home (thanks parents, restaurants, and the Fish House!), Tyson ran his FIRST 5k with me during Trout and Berry days and he hated every minute of it and he refuses to run ever again unless it's around the bases! Mindi, Holly and I ran the Freedom Run 15k in July (right before we all injured ourselves, pictures and post to come!) I was signed up for the TOU half marathon but couldn't run it due to my knee injury :( Next year is my year to have a healthy body so I can run all sorts of races! celebrated birthday's and had parties with our families..can't beat good cookouts with family! So that pretty much sums up our summer!
  • Tyson is attending his LAST AND FINAL semester of plumbing school right now!! Wahoo!! I'll finally have a husband to spend the evenings with again on Tuesday and Wednesday nights! :) Maybe we'll even get to eat dinner at home on these nights!
  • I'm still going to school up at USU studying Family Consumer Science Education (fancy word for teaching home ec!) 2 years down, only 2 more to go! Yay! I have quite an easy going semester; I'm only taking 14 credits instead of 18 like I did Spring semester. I love not having 10 hours of homework every night! It's great!
  • We're still primary teachers for the 5 year olds and we absolutely LOVE them!! They are so hilarious and always have funny stories for us! They're also so dang smart, they should be the ones teaching the lessons because I learn way more then they do!
  • Tyson has been doing LOTS of extra plumbing lately on the side for my Dad and he is also in the process of plumbing Jess and Mindi's house so he is quite busy with that.
  • Last weekend I went with a bunch of my girlfriends to Park City for a fun girls trip getaway! It was such a blast! We left around 12 on Friday and had lunch at Maddox, stopped at Target and shopped a little, shopped more in Park City, went to dinner, stayed up WAY too late having "girl talk", woke up and went to breakfast, shopped more and then came home! It was much needed and so much fun! Can't wait till next year ladies!
  • We celebrated my birthday last weekend and I got WAY spoiled! I have the best husband and family ever! To celebrate my birthday you'll never guess what we did...Yup if you said I spent it at the softball fields you guessed right!! On our way home from Park City I got dropped off in Brigham so I could watch Tyson play in his tourney..which lasted till 9 p.m.! So we decided to go have a birthday dinner at Angies since everything else was already closed by the time we got home! Yum! What a wonderful place to have your birthday dinner....? Other then unexpected softball all day I had a fabulous day!
  • I'm still teaching Bootcamp for Body Rebellion and loving every minute of it! I love the girls that I get to teach and the wonderful other trainers that I teach with! It's the most perfect job ever!
That's pretty much all that has been going on in our lives lately, I'm sure I've probably forgot many things but since I'm going to be better at posting from now on I'm sure that you'll all hear about everything else that I happened to miss!

ONE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......a little late!

Wowzers!!! I can't believe that Tys and I have already been married ONE YEAR!!!!! It's crazy! It seems like just yesterday that we started dating! We've been together for FIVE years and married for ONE!! Wahoo! It's crazy how fast time flys! For our anniversary we were planning on going down to St. George for the weekend but that fell through because we had a family party that we felt like we needed to go to! So we ended up getting a room in park city on our anniversary and spending the night! It was a BLAST!! We left pretty early Sunday morning so we could get to Park City early enough to spend the day shopping and doing whatever else! On the way down we stopped at Five Guys and ate lunch...YUMMO!! Then we went to Park City and shopped the outlets for a few hours, checked into our AWESOME room, went and drove around the city for a while just "sight seeing", rented a movie, and came back to our room and decided we wanted to hang out there the rest of the night so we ordered pizza and watched new moon together! Then we had to try out our 1 year old cake (of course!) and it was actually surprisingly delicious still! Monday morning we slept in till 10!!! That was the BEST thing ever; it's been months since I've slept in that long and I LOVED it!! After we got ready we checked out and headed to Layton to do a little more shopping and relaxing together! We had lunch at Costa Vida (Layton has the best one I have EVER been too!! They make salads soo much better...weird huh?!) After lunch we came home, played some phase ten and watched a movie then headed to tys's softball game! It was such a relaxing few days and we LOVED it!! This past year has seriously been the best year of my life. I can't complain about one thing. I think being married to my best friend is the best thing in this whole world. I love being able to fall asleep next to him and wake up to his cheerful face! It's sooo great! Everyone says the 1st year is the hardest...ch didn't seem hard at all so bring on many many more years!! We can handle anything!! I love Tys more and more every single day...seems impossible that you can love someone so much, but I sure do! He is such a great, loving, caring guy and I wouldn't trade him for anything! Here are some pictures of our first year together! I did really good taking pictures the first 6 months of our marriage...then slacked ALOT after that! So my goal this year is to take MANY MANY more pictures! I love you more then anything Tyson and I can't wait to spend the rest of my whole eternity with you! You're such an amazing husband and make me a better person everyday! Thanks for everything babe!!

RaGnAr!!

I was soooo lucky and got asked to do Ragnar this year; it was such a blast!! My van was soooo much fun, I had the best most fun girls ever!! There was never ever a dull moment! I seriously am dying...I can't wait to go run it again next year!! Next year a lot of my team won't be able to do it so Mindi and I are putting a team together with a bunch of our friends and Tys just cannot wait....NOT!! He hates running but I'm making him do it anyway....wow what a rude wife!! It'll be sooo much fun though!! This years team is hopefully going to go do the Vegas Ragnar in October...if we can get some sponsors; so if you know of any send them our way!! :) Anyways so back to last weekends race! I really can't believe how fun it was! I was runner #3 and had some of the best runs and some of the worst too! My first leg was 5.9 miles and it went from Lincoln elementary in Hyrum to Paradise square. This run went pretty well considering it was noon and very hot! My mom, dad, Chance, Mindi, and Hunter came and cheered me on for this race...oh family/supporters make races so much more fun and give me so much energy!! Thanks fam, it meant a lot to have you there!! :) My next run was my favorite and fastest run too! It was 4.6 miles and it went through the town of Morgan. This run was soooo awesome!! I started around 10 Friday night so the weather was PERFECT!! I felt like I could run for miles and miles during this run, I didn't want it to stop!! I also had great family that came and supported me for this run too! Tys, Dad, Mom, and Holly came and drove along side me the whole run which made my run go by so fast! I loved it! My last leg....ugh I don't even want to talk about it!! It was a killer for me and really tested my strength and endurance! This run was 7.9 miles uphill; it went along the Jordanelle River. Wowzers I was sooo dang sllllllloooooooooowwwww during this run! I was tired, achy, and it was blasted hot!! I was done after mile 2 and couldn't wait to hit the finish line! That was the best feeling ever when I saw the finished line up the road....ahhh I was sooo happy to be done running! I don't think it would have been such a bad run if it were my first run but no it was last after my body was tired and lack of sleep! Yikes! Oh wells! I am proud to say that I did meet my Ragnar 2010 goal....not to walk one bit on any of my runs!! Wahoo!! I felt like walking 59 times during my last run but I made it! After our van was all finished running we headed up to Park City for the finish line...wow talk about crazy crowded town!! Tyson, Scott and Tammy came to the finish line to watch us cross it and then take me home...once again I'm so blessed with such great family!! Thanks so much guys!! After we left Park City we went and ate some yummy food and then headed home! This was one of my favorite weekends ever!! I can't wait for it to come around again! :) Here are some pictures...in some crazy order because I don't have enough patience to move them or even write what the pictures are so just guess! ;)

The "NEW" Week!!

Our week has been filled with so many fun and exciting things! We sold my Jeep after having it for sale for two days, got a new nephew, babysat Hunter for two days, got a new car, and I got a new job! We're so excited to welcome Max Jesse Gibbs into our family, he is the most adorable, precious, handsome little boy! We can't get enough of him! We had so much fun watching Hunter, the first night we hung out at the hospital till baby Max was born then we came home and played and played till we were all tired. Hunter slept in till 9:30 the next morning, it was so nice! Thursday we spent the morning playing and getting ready then we went to see the baby and mommy at the hospital, came home and waited for Tys to get home from work then we went to dinner and back up to see Max! It was so much fun! As for the car....we got a new Sentra and I LOVE it!! It's the best little car ever, we're saving so much money on gas! My new job is teaching bootcamp for Body Rebellion (if anyone is interested in getting into better shape, let me know!! :)) I'm so excited for this job! I LOVE LOVE LOVE bootcamp and i'm going to LOVE teaching it! We only took a few pictures this week so i'll load the ones I have, better luck with more pictures next time!
