Time to Update the year. I'm trying to stay on track a little better this year. Christmas was wonderful as usual. I was in Rexburg with my family. It is a blessing to be so close to family and be able to go to them. Dad and Mom are so loving and generous. Brady worked the graveyard shift Christmas eve, so he returned home at 7 am. We went into my parents room singing Christmas carols to wake them up. Just like old times, kind of. It was my parents and Brady and I. We had a nice time together. Our friend Claufette, who is from Haiti came over for Christmas dinner. That evening we went to Jacob and Lori's and gottogether with them and Chris and Charity's family. Great day!
I was able to get together win a couple friends while I was in Rexburg. It is fun to see how they have grown up, how there testimonies have grown, and to see them raising their families.
The thing we all look forward o the most is our annual New Years family party. We spend about 3 days in salt Lake at a hotel, by so much food, and just play. Our first stop is Costco where we get more food than we will eat. Each sibling and their spouse plan a meal and activity. As the years have gone by there has been some adapting. This year we stayed in the majority of the time. There are more and more childrens games ms activities with the increasing amount of grandchildren and ages. This year there seemed to be a perfect mix of everything. The hotel we stay at allows us to use the conference room the days we are there. We spend the nights ms down time in our room and then the rest if the time we play, eat, and visit in the conference room. This year was perfect! Everyone seemed to have a great time, I don't even think there were tears.
Emily flew in from Boise which was extra wonderful since most of the family hasn't seen her since her heart surgeries. It was a great time with family. There was one moment we were playing a game. I looked around and realized the few of us who were playing were the four girls, Emily,Lani, Charity, and I. For me it was a special moment.
Thanks Dad and Mom for the fun and your generosity! I LOVE YOU!
