Greetings!

Hello, I am Randy Zhu, a student at The University of British Columbia (UBC).

I am currently working on porting an iSCSI Initiator to macOS using DriverKit instead of IOKit.

  • Taught students in an intro to computer systems (CPSC 213) and intro to software engineering class (CPSC 210) at UBC as a teaching assistant. You can find some slides for the systems course course here: randyzhu.com/cpsc213

  • Held a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Undergraduate Student Research Award to work on ExploTest for the summer of 2025, where I worked on ExploTest together with Kevin Liu, supervised by Dr. Caroline Lemieux. My B.Sc thesis is also on the same work, which can be found here: .pdf.

  • Worked at Teck Resources in the Projects Group where I did a mix of front-end work to support low-code developers on Microsoft's Power Platform and data engineering work.
