November 2012

Our little Lady Bug turned 1 year old!  We did a Ladybug theme party (of course) and had a few friends over for cake.  Xanthie didnt really get that the party was for her, but once JR showed her how to eat her cake (with her hands), she got that the cake was for her.

We were so happy that Grandma and Grandpa Pugner were willing and able to make the 2 day drive from Missouri to Reno this month.  It is so nice that they can do that, since it is pretty hard for us to get out there.
We did a lot of playing, showing off  new birthday presents, and just general wearing out of  the grandparents.  All 3 kids had colds, and they are so good at sharing. :)  Everyone at our house had the sniffles by the end of our visit.  We are hoping that next visit will be germ free!!

No matter how this last picture looks, the kids LOVED having Grandma and Grandpa here.  It was just bedtime at the moment...and JR was ready!!

James had a birthday this month also.  Old Man.  We all went out for his and Grandma Betty's birthday dinner at the Black Bear Diner.  We love this restaurant!  Not only are the food and prices good, but it is a very kid friendly place.  the last 2 times we have gone there, we have sat in the back of the restaurant, alone, where our kids can run around and not bother anyone.
I guess we didn't take any pictures of James opening presents for his birthday.  Just the Birthday dinner (above).  Sorry sweetie!  But at least I made him some yummy creme brulee for his birthday "cake".  We will remember that without pictures :)

Thanksgiving was nice also.  We drove to Sacramento to be with the Wohlford side of the family.  Always a good spread!  I see now that we only took a few pictures here also.  I have got to get better at taking pictures...until we can afford to have a photographer on retainer.
Happy Thanksgiving!!

October 2012

Happy Birthday to JR and JP!  The Boys turned 2 years old!  They have really been in to Tractors lately, so we did a tractor theme party for them.  They loved it!  I made a tractor cake and we got them a ride-on toy tractor...to match the toy we already have.  Now they can ride side by side...and not fight over who gets to ride first.

We also got to go to Upland for Great Grandma Thomas's 90th Birthday celebration.  It had to be a very short weekend, since James had to work Friday and Monday, but it was totally worth it!  We drove down on Friday and made it in great time.  The kids all did really well for the 9 hour adventure.  Saturday we got to relax a little bit and then got ready for Grandma's party.
The party was great.  There were so many family members and friends who I haven't seen in quite some time.  It was nice to see everyone.  I know Grandma was touched.
After Grandma's party, we did a little "cousins" party for all 3 kids, since their birthdays were so close and we dont have family in Reno.  It was a bit chaotic, but so fun to be able to share a party with the cousins.
We had to leave right after church on Sunday for our long drive back to Reno.  We were able to stop by Uncle JR's new house and see it since we hadn't seen it since he bought it.  It is such a great house for them!

JR was playing on the front porch with Grandpa on Saturday morning.  They came running in the house and Grandpa was saying "lets go show Grandma".  They went in to Grandma's room and woke her up from her nap to show her the goldfish that JR "caught" from the fountain. (It might have already been dead and floating)  JR was so proud of his catch, it was hard to get it out of his hands.

For Halloween, we dressed up as dominoes...as a family.  We feel pretty lucky that our kids are still young and don't know about Trick or Treating yet.  We took them to James' work Halloween party, and the the ward Trunk or Treat and called it good.  There will be plenty of years to go out on Halloween night.  We chose to stay in and carve a pumpkin.  The boys had fun watching daddy carve, and handing out candy to the trick or treaters that we got.

September 2012

After a busy August, we were able to relax a little more in September.  I started watching a friend's twin (2 year old) twins.  I only watch them 2x per week for 4 hours at a time.  I was worried that it might be overwhelming to have 5 kids age two and under at one time.  But, it has turned out to be so great for us.  They have a house, so I bring my kids over to their house.  This is so great for us because it gives us an outing.  They love getting out of our house and playing with "new" toys, and interacting with other children.  It also gives us a little extra $$, which doesnt hurt right now.

On the 15th, we attended the Nevada Center for Reproductive Medecine's semi anual BBQ.  It is a chance for all of the patients who have done IVF to get together with the Doctors and staff and see how the "Miracle babies" are growing.  It was a fun time.  LOTS of twins and a few tripplets.  I am sad that I didnt take very many pictures.  I only got shots of the Boys playing in the bounce house.

We also took the kids bowling for the first time.  They are still a little small for it, but we had a blast anyways.

Oh!  And, we took the kids on a hike.  It was so fun!  And they all did so great!  No complaining or fussing from anyone!  (Yah, We're THAT family.  I dressed us all in red!  But we were freaking adorable...all the hikers said so.)

August 2012

We had a busy month!  First we went to Washington for my nieces' baptisms.  Tina and her family picked up the kids and I in her 15 seater van and we made the 14 hour drive to Moses Lake, WA.  The drive was pretty painless...at least for me.  Tina drove and her kids entertained my kids.  There was hardly any fussing!  While we were there we had such a great time!  Almost my whole family was there.  Saturday we played at Tim's in-laws house while Tau and his boys prepared and cooked a whole pig...Samoan style!  It turned out so tasty!
Saturday was the baptism, and then BBQ.  Sydney had quite the party!  I also got to meet up with an old friend of mine, Lydia, and her darling family.  It is always so nice to catch up with good friends.  I am always amazed that we can go years without talking and then pick right up where we left off.
Monday Tim took us out on to Moses Lake.  We went tubing and just enjoyed being out on the water.

Thanks Vaga for taking the boys!  JP loved it!

We came home to Grandma and Grandpa Pugner waiting for us in Reno.  We got to spend a whole week together!  JR and JP still talk about sitting in "Grandpa's Chair"

Everyone was worn out by the time Grandma and Grandpa went home.
Right after Grandma and Grandpa left, we went out to Sacramento to pick up Auntie Maren from the airport.  She is finally home after serving an 18 month mission in Brazil!  We were so excited to see her!

I forgot my camera in the car, so this is all I have.  ThanksAuntie Malene for being our photographer!

Exactly on week later, JP got his last cast removed!  He was such a trooper!  I am so proud of our little man!

It was a little scary for JP.  But he only cried for a minute.

After JP's cast removal, we sent Daddy home to Reno since he had to work the next day.  The kids and I decided to take a mini vacation.  We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends who put us up for our trip.  We got to visit with the Mills the first night. (of course I didnt take any pictures)  Then we stole Maren, before she even got a chance to rest, and took her to Visilia to visit some good friends of ours, The Cheneys.  It was such a help having Maren there, since James couldnt come.  I wouldnt have made it without her!

My parents happened to be in Fresno that weekend visiting my Grandma Gibson, so we stopped by to visit on our way to Visilia.

Jr picked an orange from Grandma's tree and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Aunt Chris and Uncle Dave were also there.  So glad we got to catch up with them.

Image
I tried to get a picture with all the kids and grandma...this is the best i could do.

The Cheney's have twin girls that are 5 months younger than the boys.  Their mom and I have have already started planning their weddings.  Now we just have to wait for them to grow up.
We had a great time visiting and playing with their family.  They have such a great house!  The boys had so much fun with all of their toys and the pool!

"On our way" home...2 hours out of the way...which turned into 4 hours out of our way since there was an accident on the road...we stopped in Monterrey, CA.  Maren and I really just wanted to see the ocean.  It was cold and there wasn't much of a beach, but it was SO worth it!

We lucked out again, when we found out that more good friends happened to be in Monterey that weekend.  We got to meet up for lunch...and they put up with my wiggly kids for an hour.  We had such a great trip!!!
