Head Injury

So, Monday night @ 540. I had just left to go to work and Nate called to tell me Alyssa had fallen off the counter and had blood coming out of her ear. WHAT!!!
I turned the car around and drove back home fast. When I got there, I really couldn't believe the blood I was seeing. I told him we needed to get to the ER. I grabbed a list of names to call, to see if anyone could work for me. I had made dinner for a family in the ward and the other lady had come to get the food. She thankfully stayed with my kids. When we got there we waited an hour, so dumb. When we finally got in, they couldn't even see in the ear canal, so they decided to do a CT scan...She had a skull fracture, but thankfully no brain bleed...it was coming out of the ear. So we got admitted to the hospital to have her watched for 24 hours. They woke her up every 2 hours to have neuro checks and make sure everything was o.k. At 5 am she was up running the halls. I was grateful for these good signs, but was so tired and traumatized. We got released with instructions to have her not jump, run, or be very active....are you kidding, she is so hard to keep down. She has told everyone, I fell down and went bonk. Anyway, we have to left her Left ear heal for 2 weeks and then see a ENT to see what damaged she has to the ear drum. We could have hearing lose. We hope not! Anyway, please keep her in your prayers. Much love~ the goates

CANCER Free 18 months

We are so excited to announce that her scans: MRI of brain, CT scan Abdomen, Chest, and Pelvis...blood work are all normal. We are 18 months cancer free!!
Funny story! So she had her MRI of brain on Thursday, which they do with sedation. As she was waking up her two front teeth were very loose. I pulled both of them out and now she has two half way new front teeth. She was excited they were gone. Pain free. The dentist was going to pull them for $80.00. Anyway, the tooth fairy came and she was so excited. Thanks for all your prayers and love.

We are thrilled to announce we are 15 months cancer free!! Her CT scan's and blood work are all normal. Our next visit will be in July now. That will be MRI of brain, bone scan, CT scans and blood work. She didn't cry when she got her IV and...she drank her CT dye like a champ. After trying different favors and 2 an a half years of trying. We found out that grape lemonade is the favor that she will take. We actually had to take a 20 minute break between the last cup. This usually takes us 2 hours to get one cup in. It was a great morning. I am so excited!!

Wow! We are alive. I hope to be getting a new camera soon. Then my blog will be exciting to look at. Hope all is well with all of you. Well it's 3 months again. Back to PCMC on April 28 for CT scan of neck, chest, abdomen, and pelvic area. Blood work also. Fun to find out that her bone scans are now every 6 months. That means we are bone scans and MRI of brain with all other tests in july. I'll take that. McKenna is not happy about that. she loves the bone scans and hates the CT scans. She hates having to drink the dye. Happy conference today and easter next week. We are going to Cali for spring break so hopefully we will have fun pictures, AKA a new camera by then.
