The Honeymoon

Image
Cascade Locks
We had a great Honeymoon.  We drove through Idaho, Oregon and onto Washington.  Along the way we stopped at The Dalles for one night.  The next day we got to see the Cascade Locks and Multnomah Falls.

Then we kept driving until we got to Anacortes in just enough time to jump on the ferry to head to San Juan Island.

We stayed at a really nice Bed and Breakfast.  The first day there we walked around and found a really pretty beach called Drift wood beach.

The next day we went whale watching and had a fabulous time.  We got to see over 2 dozen whales including one that breached twice (jumped all the way out of the water).  I got a picture of a whale doing a spy hop which is when it sticks it's head out to look around.

The next day we had a wonderful time on Mopeds.  We rented Mopeds and rode around the entire island and got to see what a gorgeous island we found.  We will defiantly need to return to San Juan Island.

We believe this lady was taking a nap but from a quick glance she looked like she was a dead body.

After San Juan Island we got back on the ferry and headed to Victoria B.C. It was gorgeous!  Everyone was so nice and they helped us find our way to our hotel.  In Victoria we went to the Royal BC Museum, walked around the Parliament, and visited Craigdarroch Castle.  It was a quick stop but we had a great time.

After Victoria we took the ferry back to Washington and drove to Seattle.  We stayed in a really nice hotel that had a great view.

Seattle Temple- We were doing a session in the temple when my Grandma passed away.  We found out right after we got out of the temple.  She will be missed but we are so grateful that she was able to attend our sealing.

We had a nice dinner at the Edgewater Restaurant to celebrate our one week anniversary.  We had Salmon in memory of my grandma.
We had a great time in Seattle.  We took the Underground Tour and saw old Seattle that is under the current Seattle.  We would highly recommend this tour if you are ever in Seattle.

We got to go up the Space Needle twice once during the day and once that evening.  We ate clam chowder as we admired the view.  We had so much fun in Seattle.  We got to see Pike's Market and we took a Duck Tour which is a boat that also drives on the streets of Seattle so we got a more complete tour.  We also saw the Pacific Science Center, and EMP Sci-Fi Museum.  We will need to go back to Seattle again.

We also spent a day driving around the Olympic Peninsula and saw Port Angeles, Forks and La Push.  It was so gorgeous.  We had beautiful sunny weather everyday.

Finally an Update! Wedding Pictures

Sorry it's taken me so long to update this blog.  Since I've updated this blog I got married so here are some of my favorite pictures.  We had a wonderful day at the Salt Lake Temple, then we had a reception at the Red Butte Garden.  The weather was perfect and we enjoyed a full day with family and friends.  We are so grateful for everyone that helped make our day perfect.  Thank you for everyone that came and helped us celebrate.

Here's a picture with me and Nick and my grandma's.  Grandma Armstrong (in the wheelchair) passed away a week later.  We were so grateful that she was able to attend our sealing in the temple.
