Welcome to Chez Pair! I’m Dawn, and I’ll be your host on this little blog. I’ve been blogging since 2006, through working full time, staying home for four years, and then returning back to full time work outside the home.   I work in higher education, and really love what I do.  When I began this blog (actually, it’s predecessor) back in 2006, I have three kiddos: Noise, Funk, and Squeak, and a husband (Hubs) who keep me happy and furious and confused and alive.

The cast of Characters:

Bring The Noise, Bring The Funk:

Noise: So named because he is never, ever silent. Loves Harry Potter, reading, drawing, music and percussion, talking and singing. He’s nine.

Funk: So named because she was always sick as a baby and toddler. She never stops moving or talking, and is always doing gymnastics. She’s seven.

Squeak: He is the first mischievious and rambunctious kid we’ve had. If he’d been first, he’d have been last. He’s four. And thank heavens for that because Squeak at three damn near killed me.

Hubs: We started making out in 1999. He’s an elected official. He’s had the same haircut for 25 years.

Me: Dawn. Love ice cream, cussing, and my family. 100 Things About Me. (I should update that maybe.)
