Just in time for Christmas

I finally finished these stockings just in time for Christmas. They have been works in progress all year, but I finally cracked down and got them done these last few months. You can tell I have no life!! :) My aunt DeeAnn made us stockings like these for Christmas one year when I was growing up and I always loved them so I figured I'd carry on the tradition. Now we just need a fireplace to hang them up on!!

Happy Birthday Guy!

Guy turned the big 25 yesterday... Yes, he is getting so old! We just had a little family party which was a lot of fun. I think Brayden was more excited then Guy with the presents and balloons and cake! Happy Birthday Guy... We love you! :)

We can't wait until Christmas!!

We are so excited for Christmas around here! We got our tree up a week or so ago... Walmart special for $15! Pretty good tree for the price. It's a little bare but maybe someday we'll have stuff to really decorate it! We keep making Brayden take pictures in front of it so every time we walk in the door he runs to the tree and stands in front of it and says "cheese." It's so funny! We tried to go see Santa yesterday at the Northpark mall in Dallas but it was so busy... of course. Not sure why we tried to go on a Saturday but we decided to head back sometime this next week when the line's not as long. We went to this Christmas model train exhibit instead that they had there which was so cool. It had over 70 trains going at once which Brayden loved! Maybe we should get him a train for Christmas!

Thanksgiving

We went to Oregon for Thanksgiving and spent it with Guy's family. We had so much fun and it was hard to say goodbye when we had to go. I think the time change was a little hard on Brayden since it was 2 hours earlier than Dallas. No naps and staying up late every night... yes you can imagine! But he had tons of fun with all his cousins and it was fun to see how much all the kids have grown. It's crazy how much they can change in a year!! So yes, I remembered to bring our camera and video camera but did we ever remember to take them out of our suitcase... NO! We are soooo bad at that!! We pulled it out once to take a picture of Brayden hanging out with Grandma on her bed. He spent a lot of time in there watching Finding Nemo and the "monkey" movie with them. So cute! We're looking forward to heading back out there when Mike gets home from his mission in August so we can't wait!

Gymboree Halloween Party

So I started taking Brayden to Gymboree classes a little while ago until the end of December and he loves it! We go with some friends from our ward which has been fun for him to get to know some kids his age better. Anyways, today was the Halloween party and all the kids dressed up in their costumes. Brayden is a pirate this year and his friend Logan was Peter Pan. They did lots of fun Halloween activities like making pumpkin soup and putting pumpkins in the pumpkin patch! Brayden had a great time! And of course, I took way too many pictures! :)

Carving Pumpkins!! :)

We carved our pumpkins last night for FHE which was fun. Brayden colored all over his with marker first which he thought was great. I always forget how much work it is to carve them but luckily Guy cleaned out all 3 pumpkins for us! What a great dad! We also make Halloween cupcakes to decorate and give away to some friends. Yes, it was a complete disaster around here when we were finished! :) Brayden wasn't much of a helper in decorating the cupcakes but he did help eat most of the frosting and the candy corn.

We went with Mark, Stacy, and Ellie to pick out pumpkins on Thursday night. Stacy and Ellie gave Brayden this pumpkin sweater to wear. It's sooo cute! I've decided he's going to wear it until he grows out of it even if its not October anymore! :) Brayden had fun trying to do whatever Ellie was doing and helping to push the pumpkins to the car! I think we are going to try to carve them tomorrow night for FHE.

It's been forever again! I'm getting so bad at this! We're in the process of finding a new place to live so its been a little stressful around here! Here's a few random pictures. We had a ton of fun on our florida/disney world trip beginning of October. I'll have to post disney pictures later.

Update!

Ok it has seriously been forever since I last put anything on here. Sorry!! Not really too much has been going on in the last month or so. We've been playing a lot of tennis in the evenings which has been fun. I feel bad for Guy cause I am horrible and he's so good, but he's teaching me so maybe someday I'll get it down! And of course Brayden trys to play too. It's so cute!!
I am feeling a lot better... still waiting for my thyroid to drop more. It's never ending, I swear!! But I can't complain cause I feel tons better than before! Brayden is 16 months old now... crazy huh! He's getting huge and talking up a storm these days.

Oh we've started watching the first season of Heroes with Mark and Stacy. We're trying to squeeze it all in before the second season starts in a few weeks and so far its so good!! Has anyone else seen it?? In 2 weeks BB and I are tagging along on one of Guy's business trips to Florida so that should be fun!! We're planning on doing magic kingdom again in Orlando which Brayden will love since he's older now. And then Thanksgiving in Oregon and Christmas in Ohio, so lots of trips to look forward to!! All in all, we are doing good here and yes we're still alive!! I'll try to do better posting!!! :) Life has just been crazy!

Gosh, its been forever since I've been on this thing. Life's just been busy and I finally got some pictures loaded on here. My family came out to visit and were here all last week which was fun. We took them to San Antonio and did the whole Sea World, Riverwalk and Alamo thing. Yes, that's the only cool thing we've done in Texas so far so we just do it over and over!! :) It turned out to be a crazy trip because my brother Kyle ended up having to have surgery. He was complaining that his mouth hurt all day Tuesday and we all just kinda shrugged it off but on Wednesday morning my parents took him to a dentist and he told them that Kyle would have to have surgery. So everyone went to sea world except for kyle and my dad and we tried to have fun there waiting to hear what was going on with kyle. Later in the day kyle and my dad came but kyle was all doped up with lots of codeine so he was so out of it and ended up throwing up at the sea lion show!! He had surgery the next morning and I guess his mouth was all full of infection. This is gross but I guess they pulled this baby tooth out that had been bugging him and all this black infection stuff shot out.... yes, sick mental picture. Sorry! But he is doing fine now... kinda swollen and painful but better than before. It's so funny cause it seems like whenever they come on a trip to see me something like this happens. In rexburg one time Melissa got really sick and ended up having a ruptured appendix that she had to go in the hospital for!! Anyways, we still had fun and Brayden loved all the attention from everybody. Like always, it was a sad goodbye! My brothers hid my dad's keys before they had to go and we all thought Brayden had gotten ahold of them. As they were pulling out Kyle said, " I should have hid the keys better!" SO cute!! Well so now its back to being just me and Brayden all day which will take some getting used to after a week of a full house. I go to the doctor on Wednesday to see if I am officially hypothyroid. I had the radioactive iodine pill thing done about 6 weeks ago so hopefully my thyroid is shot and I can start taking the pill that just makes me normal. Texas is super hot now. We still haven't hit 100 yet which is really unusual for this time of year I guess but it is sooo humid. I hate it!!! Its like torture just to walk to the car!! Anyways, I don't have pictures from when my family was here but I'll try to post those later. Here's a few old ones!! Crazy nap hair!!

So my family went to Red, white, and boom on July 3rd which is a big firework show they have in downtown columbus over the ohio river. My dad and brothers put a flag in my moms hair without her knowing so she was just walking around with it forever. And I guess this guy from the Columbus Dispatch was following her and taking lots of pictures of her hair and ended up putting them in the newspaper! Haha! My little brother Kyle is there too laughing at her in the shot. So funny! Sounds like they had a good holiday and we sure missed them! Isn't it so much harder to be away from your family when you have kids! I think so!

Happy 4th of July!!!

We started out celebrating on the third by driving down to Addison for their big firework show. It was awesome. We decided to get a hotel (free voucher) a few blocks away and it turned out to be the best thing ever!! We had a place to park our car and we just walked over and didn't have to sit in traffic forever! And it was seriously an awesome fireworks show! BB was kinda scared at first but Guy put his hands over his ears and somehow staring at the fireworks just lulled him to sleep! We were so surprised! On the 4th we just took it easy and hung out. Had a barbecue with my Aunt and Uncle and then went with them to fireworks in Plano. They had some really cool light up necklaces that BB loved way more than the fireworks!! He was fascinated with trying to put one side into the other to close the necklace. Ahh the little things that keep him happy! Lots of cities cancelled their fireworks yesterday because the weather showed it was supposed to rain, but it was a perfect night which was great. Now we'll get to go to some of the "rain date" fireworks later! Yay!!

Trip to Ohio

Brayden and I just got back from a quick trip home to visit the fam! My dad called 2 weeks ago and said he needed to see his grandson so he flew us out!! Great huh! All I have to say was the flight out there was horrible! Brayden screamed his head off and I seriously couldn't control him. I have never felt so hated in my life! But the flight home he was an angel so I think there is hope that I can fly with Brayden again!!

Everyone knew that we were coming out there except my brothers so it was fun to surprise them. They were playing baseball in the backyard when we got there so the rest of the fam went out and sat on the patio, acting like nothing was going on. Brayden and I walked out and just stood there waiting for them to see us. It was hilarious to see their expressions cause they were so shocked and it took them forever to finally notice us! It was funny cause Kyle was like, "well, now I know what I'm doing tomorrow!"

On friday, we went to Geagua Lake in Aurora Ohio and had a blast. Its a big amusement park and water park. Sea World used to be right by it but since thats been gone Geauga lake has just taken over. They had some pretty sweet roller coasters and the lines were short so we rode them all day!

All in all, a fun trip.... its always hard to say goodbye though. I'm such a baby and always end up walking through the security at airports in tears. Its good to be home and actually Ohio is hotter than Texas right now! We're getting lots of rain here which is nice!

I HATE BUGS!!!

Ok, so we have cockroaches in our apartment! I am freaking out! We had them awhile ago and they came and sprayed and for about a month they were gone... but now they are back! I know they are harmless, Guy tells me this all the time. But they are just so disgusting looking. And now you are about to hear how pathetic I really am. Last night Guy killed 4 of them (sick huh) so I thought there couldn't possibly be any more in the house. I woke up this morning and went to sit on the couch and saw one running across the living room floor. I freaked out big time and called Guy crying (yes i Know) and finally got the courage to trap it under a bowl. I put all the harry potter books on top of it so it couldn't get out. And after that I left for the whole day with Brayden. I left at 7:30 am and didn't get home until 9:00 pm cause I was so convinced that the cockroaches were taking over our house and I needed Guy there to kill all of them. He of course had to work really late tonight which was just my luck! Guy thinks I need to go to counseling for my serious fear of bugs but I know all they'll do is like make me hold a tarantula or something until I'm not afraid of it... ya no way! Its all because of those wolf spiders in idaho... eww! I am just gonna start training Brayden to be the bug killer around here!!
Anyways, to fill up my day I took Brayden to the zoo in fort worth and we both had so much fun there. It was so hot though but still lots of fun! We went to the mall and shopped and I found a new swimsuit and sandals. Brayden loves playing on the play place they have there so I let him play as long as he wanted for once to take up time. I bought some indoor/outdoor bug killer spray that I sprayed everywhere tonight. The pest control guys come on friday so hopefully no more roaches!!
