About the challenge
H4G is a student-run hackathon by Developer Group @ NUS Computing which seeks to inspire students to learn and use technology for social causes. We set out to challenge aspiring developers to hone their skills by solving real-world problems faced by Non-Profit Organisation (NPOs). Participating teams are expected to create technological prototypes as part of their solution to tackle their chosen statement and directly benefit the NPO backing it. We want to be practical and create meaningful impact with this initiative.
Requirements
What to Build
TSAO Problem Statements:
1. How might non-profit organisations “pull” information about grants from OurSG grants portal that are relevant to them according to key criteria including issue area, scope of grant, KPIs, funding quantum, application due date, etcs. so that they can strengthen their financial sustainability?
2. Develop a solution that improve relationships between caregiver and the care recipient so that caregivers can provide the care that the care recipients want/need in a mutually respectful, meaningful, and joyful way?
MINDS Problem Statement:
1. How might we reduce friction in activity sign-ups for both individuals and caregivers, while reducing manual effort for staff in managing and consolidating registration data?
What to Submit
Only the team leader should make a submission
Teams are required to submit the following items:
1. Code (e.g. GitHub link) with documentation (README.md) -- The README file must contain the problem statement being addressed
2. Pitch deck / Presentation slides (e.g. Google Slides) -- The presentation must not exceed more than 15 slides
3. Demo -- This is an additional video that shows the implementation of the solution. It must demonstrate how your product prototype works, but should not contain any pitching.
