Ava's Party

We had Ava's birthday party in the church gym.  It was a pirate themed party, Ava's choice, because her favorite movie right now is Pirates of the Caribbean.  And she loved the ride at Disneyland too!

Everyone at the party got a pirate beach ball to take home and we used the balls to play games.

We also had a treasure chest pinata that was filled with candy and fake pirate money.

All of Ava's friends who came to the party.  12 kids for an hour and half, that's plenty of party for me.  (we had cupcakes and hot dogs too!)

Brigham City

Luke and I are on a Utah temple tour this year.  We're trying to visit a different temple in Utah each month.  Four months in and we've been to Oquirrh Mountain, Draper, Jordan River and now Brigham City.  

The Brigham City temple is smaller than I thought it would be but it is very beautiful inside.  It's brand new but it has an old feel.  The way they've decorated the inside reminds me a lot of the Salt Lake temple.

After the temple Luke and I went to lunch at Maddox's.  It's a famous steakhouse because it's a ranch that raises their own cattle and stuff.  The food was delicious, I loved the home made rolls and raspberry butter.  And Luke had the Filet Minot.

Blog Catch Up

A couple months ago we took the girls to their first Jazz game.

Their favorite part was eating all the treats.  We had ice cream and popcorn.  And then after the game they got to walk down to the court and see Grandpa Phil.

The people in front of us were actually sitting in our seats.  They didn't want to move so we sat in their seats a row behind.  Phil had arranged for the bear to spray us with silly string and told him our seat numbers.  Unfortunately those people got sprayed instead.  The baby did not like it!  Serves them right for not moving out of our seats!

Ava takes piano lessons and sometimes tries to teach Tess a thing or two.

We've enjoyed playing the game of life with the girls.  They especially like getting married and getting the children.

Luke's high school, Olympus High School, recently received a makeover and they demolished the old part of the school.  We went to the open house the week before it was getting torn down.  The picture above is the school mascot.

The Draper Temple

Ava did this drawing of the Draper Temple and we sent it into the Friend Magazine.  She's hoping it gets published.  I'm just excited that she likes reading The Friend.

Easter Sunday Picture

We had Brian and his fiancee Kristin visiting us for Easter so we had them take a picture of us, and then took a quick picture of them too.  It was a nice Easter Sunday with beautiful warm weather. Ava and Tess both wore new easter dresses from my Mom.

Easter Photo Shoot

I took the girls in to FotoFly and had Kami do their pictures this time.  Luke just got made manager recently and Kami is the assistant manager.  She's super fun and we had a good time.
