Generally in a story, heroes are written to be this likeable and rootable character you will support no matter what. And in order to do so, in some, or many cases, they can make the villain as detestable as they can where you loathe them whenever they are onscreen and wish the heroes can defeat them. He is a former Piston Cup racer who always finished in the second place despite cheating, and Lightning McQueen's arch-nemesis. He eventually won his first and only Piston Cup by cheating, and retired soon afterwards to host his own talk show on Racing Sports Network.
He is voiced by Michael Keaton in the first film and a few of the video games, whereas he’s voiced by Bob Peterson in the third film.
