Hi, I’m Carissa. It’s so nice to meet you!

It all started with a little blog I had as a hobby back in the 2006 era. Very quickly, I realized how much I loved the designing part more than the actual blogging part! I was obsessed with making my little corner of the internet look pretty and feel like me. I loved how it could grow and change with me, and when it felt right, it inspired me to create even more.

This new creative outlet slowly grew into something bigger – big enough that I eventually went to design school, taught myself coding and all things WordPress, and would later open a small Etsy shop to share my designs with others.

As messages started coming in from people who finally loved their websites again, I realized that what I loved most was not just making something look pretty or functional, but helping others find that same sense of alignment I had – the moment when your corner of the internet finally feels like you.

That joy is what led me to create Hearten Made, and it still shapes every WordPress theme I pour my entire heart into!

My goal is simple

To help you feel confident, inspired, and completely at home in your online space.

Hearten Made exists to help heart-led bloggers and creatives bring their vision to life, without the overwhelm. It’s about more than pretty design. It’s about creating a space that reflects your story, connects with your audience, inspires you, and reminds you why you started.
