General
What is WordPress?
WordPress is a website platform that powers over 43% of the web. It’s known for giving you full ownership of your website (unlike other platforms). It’s a popular choice for blogs and creatives because it’s flexible and SEO-friendly!
Are your themes compatible with Elementor or Divi?
No. My themes are built specifically for the Kadence Theme framework + Kadence Blocks. They aren’t compatible with Elementor, Divi, or other page builders.
Are your themes compatible with Wix or Showit?
No. My themes only work with WordPress. They cannot be used on any other website platform.
How much does WordPress cost?
WordPress will always be free! You only need to pay for hosting and a domain name.
What is a WordPress theme?
A WordPress theme is like the outfit your website wears. Your content stays the same, but the theme controls the style – layout, fonts, colors, and the overall look. Hearten Made designs WordPress themes that give your site a beautiful, custom-feeling style right from the start.
How do I start a WordPress website?
You’ll choose a hosting provider, grab a domain, and install WordPress. Read my getting started guide to learn how!
Do I need to know how to code?
Nope! Everything is customizable visually inside the WordPress editor and customizer.
Can I switch to WordPress if I’m currently on another platform?
Yes! You’ll just need to move your content manually or with a migration tool.
Kadence
What is Kadence?
Kadence is the “parent” theme framework your Hearten Made “child” theme is built on. It’s the foundation — think global styling, header and footer settings, and layout options. Kadence is well known in the WordPress community for its fast speed, flexibility, and using the best SEO and accessibility practices.
What are Kadence Blocks?
Kadence Blocks is a plugin that works alongside the Kadence theme. It adds custom blocks to the native WordPress editor. I use these blocks to create all of the page templates.
Do I need Kadence Pro?
No! All Hearten Made themes work beautifully with the free version of Kadence and Kadence blocks. Kadence Pro is completely optional and only needed if you want some cool extra features and blocks.
Can I have a shop on my site?
Yes! Kadence works beautifully with WooCommerce and most ecommerce plugins. And if you use a platform like ThriveCart or Gumroad, you can easily link your products or checkout pages from your site.
Themes + Block Collections
What all can be customized?
You can change the fonts, colors, logo, buttons, menus, header, images, and so much more — all visually inside the WordPress editor and customizer.
What is a Block Collection?
A Block Collection is is a library of pre-made sections and pages you can insert into your site with a few clicks. It’s an easy way to add new sections to your existing pages or create brand-new pages without starting from scratch. All of our themes come with their own Block Collection included, but you can also buy Block Collections from other themes to mix & match.
If I purchase a theme, will my site look like the demo?
Yes! Your site will match the demo site. You’ll start with the demo and then customize to match your brand and add your own images and content.
Will I lose my content if I switch themes?
The design and layout will change, but your content remains. The content inside of your pages, your blog posts, and media will be safe.
Are themes a one-time purchase?
Yes. All themes are a one-time purchase — no subscriptions, renewals, or yearly fees.
Are the themes updated regularly?
Because the themes are built on the Kadence framework, Kadence handles all updates to the theme and Kadence blocks (bug fixes, security improvements, and new features). You can update Kadence + Kadence Blocks directly from your WordPress dashboard.
Are your themes responsive?
Every Hearten Made theme is responsive and built to look beautiful on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
Can you install and set up my theme for me?
Yes! I offer a Theme Installation service where I install and set up your new theme.
Can you customize my theme for me?
Yes! I offer Theme Customization services. Get in touch with me and we can chat about what you need.
Support
What support do you provide?
Support includes help with theme and demo installation, ensuring theme features are working properly as shown on the demo site, and assistance with features that are included in your theme demo.
What’s not covered under your support?
Any customizations beyond what’s shown in the demo (like custom sections, design changes, plugins, etc) are not covered under my theme support.
Where can I find the theme tutorials and guides?
You can find it all in the Support Docs site. There are tutorials for Kadence, Kadence Blocks, your theme, block collections, and WordPress!
How do I submit a support request?
You can submit a support ticket here.
Do you offer phone or video-call support?
No. All support is handled by email only, after you submit your support ticket.
How long does it take to get a response?
I normally respond within 12-24 hours! My response time may be slower on weekends or holidays.
Refunds + Licensing
Do you offer refunds?
Due to the digital nature of my products, refunds and exchanges are not offered. Please reach out before purchasing if you have questions!
Can I redownload my purchase?
Yes! You can access your downloads at anytime from your account.
How many sites can I use the theme on?
You can use the theme on any website that you own. For example, if you have 2 blogs, you can use the theme your purchased on both blogs.
Can I use your themes for client projects?
Yes, but each client site requires its own theme license. For example, if you have 3 clients you want to use the theme on, then the theme will need to be purchased 3 separate times.
Can I share my theme files with someone else?
Under no circumstances may you share any files or products with others. Sharing theme files or distributing them is not allowed under the license and goes against my terms.
