Spring??

What a fabulous day! We planted 100 Irises in one of my front yard flower beds. I hope they are beautiful! We also planted some dwarf shrubs in another area in front. They look good I think. It is so fun to beautify our yard. I will have to take some photos when (or if ) the flowers bloom and post them here. As I sit in the house tonight it is weird to think that just a few hours ago we were outside and it was so nice and warm and now the wind is howling something fierce. It is kind of eery! Anyways, I am just so grateful today for spring and all that it brings to this world!

Lots and Lots of Dinosaurs!

Brady earned a date with either John or myself. He picked me this time and we decided to go to the dinosaur museum in Lehi (about 10 minutes away from us). The museum is really called the Museum of Ancient Life but it has the biggest display of dinosaurs in the country. We had a ton of fun! Brady was so excited that he was running from one room to the next saying things like "this is so awesome" and "mom, look at this..." I think this will be a date he will not forget (at least not for awhile)...I know I won't.

Twilight Mania

Mason and I went on our Mom/Son date to see the movie Twilight! I have read the entire series and loved them so much! Mason has read just the first book, Twilight! We bought tickets a week before it was out. We went to The District in South Jordan because they have assigned seating. So no waiting in any lines!!!! We went Friday morning @ 11am. The theatre was full and the excitement was almost too much! Mason enjoyed it a lot! I started off hating it because nobody looked like I had pictured and it seemed a bit hokey! They should of hired the director that does the Harry Potter movies because those are done so well. It ended up growing on me a bit to where I upgraded my opinion to "it was ok but disappointing". It was still fun to be just with Mason and we were able to talk without any interruptions on the drive to and from the theatre.

Vocabulary Word of the Day

Just wanted you all to know what my 6 yr old, Brady, taught me today. After school he told me that it is ok if someone ever calls him a jerk because it stands for junior educated rich kid--I thought I was going to die laughing. What a funny boy! Apparently it is going around the school because Mason and Connor had heard it too. Fun day with my boys!

Happy Haunted Halloween

I sure do LOVE Halloween! This year was especially fun because we are in a new neighborhood and ward so we trick or treated our new stompin' grounds and then went to Pleasant Grove and trick or treated in our old stompin' grounds. Our ward had a Halloween party on the 24th and Aunt Maxine had a Halloween party on the 25th. So we have been partying it up lately! Mason was a Jedi Knight, Connor was Indiana Jones and Brady was a Grim Reaper. John also dressed up in his Jedi costume Halloween night. I actually wore a witches hat I made but forgot to take a photo.
