Do you understand the WORDS that are coming out of my MOUF?

Do you ever feel like no one is listening? I mean really listening? I had several situations about a week ago that involved people not listening to what I was trying to say. I had to repeat myself over and over and over until about the 4th time of trying to explain something, that I finally just gave up. Then in one particular situation, that same person asked me a few hours later what I was talking about and how I felt about it. Needless to say, I ignored the questions and was completely frustrated all over again.

So in my "thinking processes" this week, I have decided that I am going to try to focus and listen to people when they are talking to me and not multi-task. I have found it to be inconsiderate when people are having a conversation with you and they have to repeat themselves several times before you answer, it seems to make matters worse.

It feels like when you have an entire class full of 3 year olds and everyone is talking, but no one is listening to the teacher. ;o)

Has it really been that long?...

I can't believe that it has been a year since my last blog entry. I was never any good at keeping a journal and at times this kind of feels like a journal. But nevertheless, I thought I would update The Blog.

I have had a busy and crazy 2009! I thought that my life was going one direction and then it took a different turn in a matter of a few weeks. It was then that I decided in order for me to continue and "make something of myself", I needed to go to school and get an education to be able to support myself in the future. I enrolled at Stevens-Henager College in Orem and started school at the end of June. I am currently working on my Bachelors degree in Health Care Administration with an emphasis in Biomedical Science. What the means to me and to you, is being able to become an administrator of a Hospital, Nursing Home, Facility for Mentally Disabled Individuals, etc. Yeah for careers and making some good money!

Along with working full time and going to school full time, I have been teaching the sunbeams in my parents ward. I say parents ward, because I am too old to belong to a singles ward and too young to belong to a family ward. It has been a lot of fun and I enjoy hearing all the stories the little ones have to tell me each Sunday.

We have also added 2 more grandkids to our family. That means 9 nephews and 9 nieces and they are all from my 5 siblings and their spouses. Bella Donna, of course, is still the "apple of my eye" and spoiled by her grandparents. ;o) My parents take great care of her when I am gone for 12 or more hours a day and I can guarantee that she gets all the attention and love that she needs.

I am so happy that the Christmas season is here and that my entire family lives close by. It has been so nice to have everyone here for the Holidays!

I was Tagged... to say 7 random facts about me. So here it goes...

1. I love sleeping in on Saturdays. And that means not just for a few hours, but I usually don't get up until after 12 noon.
2. I love sleeping on the couch. Surprisingly, you don't move a whole lot and its really comfortable..
3. I love the color Pink in any shade. It is so girly.
4. I actually go to movies by myself. Its not as hard as you might think.
5. I love Mexican food. And if you didn't know, I absolutely love "Joe Bandito's Restaurant".
6. Bella is my BFF. (I would have to agree with Stephanie on this one...)
7. Pumpkin pie is my favorite. However, the only person that knows how to make it correct, is my Grandma. (Rest In Peace!)

What is a B.F.F.?

It has been quite some time since I last blogged. I haven't really had much to say, which is surprising, because I usually always have something on my mind or the tip of my tongue. However, there is one subject that has come up a lot lately and I figured it was about time to "talk".

What is a B.F.F? Best Friends Forever, Best Forbidden Food, Black Fluffy Fur, Best Forplay Fun, Big F'ing Festival, Big Foul Farts, Big Friendly Fairy, etc....You get the idea!

In girl terms, it would mean Best Friends Forever. But the question I have is, What is a true B.F.F.? To me, it would mean that there is no other friend that could take your place. That you are the first and foremost "girlfriend" you would go to in times of sorrow or happiness. It would also mean being there for one another in good times and bad; Comforting each other in times of need; Laughing at the fun things and the Stupid things that you may or may not do; Not judging each other, no matter what, etc.

Where is this going you may ask? Well... At work, it has started to be a running joke. We tell each other that we are BFF stealers and you can't have more than one BFF and if you want more than one BFF, then it needs to be an F.U. (Friend Unconditionally) or an F.U.2 (Friend Unconditionally #2). Is it really necessary to have only 1 BFF or could a person actually have 2 BFF's? I think it is definitely possible to have 2 or more BFF's. Your second BFF could be there for you on a different level than your first BFF. But you are always going to have a connection with your first BFF that you may not have with your second BFF. Also, would anyone object to having a pet be a BFF? I would have to say No! Bella is a great BFF. She greets me at the door at the end of a workday and keeps me company when no one else is around.

In conclusion...BFF's are wonderful! Especially if you have more than one! Or maybe we should do away with all BFF's, then that way no one will be offended.

Man's Best Friend and My Little Black Ball of Fluff...

Have you ever wondered how a small little animal could become someone you depend on and love so much?...That if anything ever happened to them it would be difficult to recover?

That's exactly how I feel about my favorite little puppy, Bella Donna. (named after both of my grandma's..Edna Belle and Donna Virginia)

Bella is now 1 1/2 yrs old, but she will always be my puppy. She is so much fun! The typical puppy that will love you no matter what. She greets you at the back door after work each day, gives you hugs, kisses and loves for a few minutes and then wants to play. She loves attention of any kind! She even loves it when grandpa (my dad-Keith) will rub her belly or her neck. (look at her cute little teeth...she was in 7th-heaven in this picture)

Bella is the love of my life! I can't imagine my life without her! She loves unconditionally and when she gets in trouble, she forgets within 30 minutes of what she has done. She is very entertaining and fun to watch. She reminds me of a 2 yr old experiencing life for the first time. Below are some of her funny and memorable moments.

Micro Managers, Stupid People and the all around Irritating People.....

So, the number 2 thing that really makes my blood boil or gets me mad or just puts me in a bad mood is....Micro Managers, Stupid People and Irritating Humans!!! Unfortunately, I have to deal with all 3 at work. You would think that work wouldn't be so bad, but when you have to spend 40 + hours a week there, you become a little attached. No matter how hard you try to make things better, someone's stupidity kicks in or your manager becomes a "pot stirrer" or a micro manager (in other words), which it turn, changes them to be just plain irritating. There is no way of getting around it. You will always be surrounded by this and these humans!

I'm sure you are wondering what the number 1 thing is that really makes me mad..... Hanging up on me while on the phone and in the middle of a conversation!!! (Just try it and see what happens... Really don't, its not a pretty sight.)

I decided to set myself up on a blog. Everyone has one, so why shouldn't I?

It's a good way to keep in touch with family and friends. It may take a while to get this thing started, but as soon as I do, everyone will be connected. :o)
