Kendyl's Baptism

So she's probably get mad at me for putting this picture up so it's just so funny! So the night before we went to take a few pictures with Dylan so we would have one to put on the front of the program. Well we used the white shower curtain in the bathroom as a back drop. Kendyl lost her balance well doing the photos and well a picture is worth a 1000 words...

Image
We love you Kendyl Pagie and are so glad your part of our family!!!

ImageKendyl turned 8 on Wednesday. And today (Saturday) she was able to be baptized along side her cousin Dylan. We are so pleased with her choice to be baptized. She has been looking forward to this all year. Kendyl is such a sweet little girl, well I guess not so little anymore!
Image
She wanted to be baptized in a dress instead of the jumpsuits so I pulled my baptism dress out. She had to tuck it in between her legs when she got in the water because it was floating up. My mom made that dress for me for my baptism. I wasn't baptized in it but I was conformed it it. My mom thought that was pretty neat that she was wearing it today. We also bought her a white dress so she was able to change afterwards into a clean white dress. She was so cute.

She's 2 months old!

And weighing in at 12.1 lbs and 24 inches long!!! Wow she's growing like crazy! Taylor is such a sweet baby.
ImageEthan loves to make her smile in anyway he can. First thing in the morning he has to see if she's awake so he can play with her.
ImageSamantha is getting over being jealous of her baby sister. But we still watch very closely because every once in a while she's is mean.

House Hunting

Image
Sounds like fun right? Well after a while it's not so fun. I just want to be done! Even though has hard as I've tried it looks like we won't know where we're going to be before school starts. So fun fun there get to move the kids during the school year. Oh well such is life! We did find a cute little house that we like it's just a bit more $$$ then we want to pay. So carry on the search....
Image
On other notes. Taylor is doing great! She sleeps a lot (just not a night!) and the kids still can't get enough of her. On some days Samantha isn't so sure she likes having a baby sister. She keeps me on my toes with making sure she's being nice to baby. Ethan would play outside all day without any shoes if I let him. His skin gets too itchy, so the poor kids has to wear socks and shoes. He loves to play in the water/mud! Ashley is turning into a wonderful Mama's helper. She can't get enough of Taylor. We've had to remind the children when Taylor is sleep to LEAVE her ALONE! They just love to touch and kiss her so much! Kendyl is getting excited to turn 8 next month and be baptized. She is becoming a little lady (of course only when she wants to) Nathaniel is still loving his job even but it becomes more of a "like" when he puts in 65+ hours weeks! I'm back on my feet after having Taylor. (well I don't think I was ever off) but now onto getting into shape. And not the round one that I am currently!

Take 5!

I took the kids into Sear's to have their pictures taken. They did really good! Could have had a few more smiles but we didn't have too many tears by the time we were done. I haven't taken the kids into a photo studio since Ethan was a baby, so it was kinda fun to go. I love how the pictures turned out! And of course I had to buy them all! Well almost all of them...

Too Cute for words...

Up-date on Taylor

Image
Taylor had her third echo done this morning. And the results are she has an abnormal valve and will need to be seen by a cardiologist in the next few weeks. The Doctors up in Seattle said it's mild to moderate, so we got to come home. We will be watching for signs of any problems like her lips turning blue or her having a hard time breathing. But she has been done well in the hospital the doctor didn't think we would have any problems once we were home. She might need to have surgery in the future to help open up her valve but she also might just out grow it and be just fine.

We came home this afternoon and the kids are loving having Mama and baby sister home at last!!! It's going to be tough to take it easy and to slow down. I'm glad to be able to see my toes again! We are so glad that Taylor has made it here safe and sound (mostly) and love having her be a part of our family. She fits just right, She already is a good baby (and hoping she stays that way!) Samantha love to call here "Taylor Rose" and Ethan keeps calling her "Trailor" it's so cute!

Taylor Rose Higham

She's here!!! Arrived July 1, 2010 9:04 am 7lbs 10 oz and 21 inches long! We named her Taylor Rose Higham. Ashley isn't quite sure about her name, she thought we should have named her Princess. Ethan forgets how to say her name and calls her "Trailer" or "Tractor" LOL Not a great picture but here's all five of my children!!! She's perfect and fit right into our family.
ImageEthan picked out this outfit a few months ago, had to buy the smallest size too! Well it's a little big but she's not drowning in it. Love the froggies!!!!

ImageThis picture is right after she was born. She's still not sure about all the light. Taylor got a little beating in utero and has a nice size bruise on the crown of her head. I think she was just "banging around" trying to come out!!
ImageWell to finish off this post, we're still in the hospital and will be here until Sunday. Taylor had in echo done on her heart this morning because the nurses could hear a heart murmur. The results are "pulmonary valve stenosis" In short to my understanding the valve that takes blood to her lungs is "tight" so the blood is moving faster then normal. She was transferred to pediatrics here in the same hospital to be monitored and will have another echo done in two days (Sunday). We love her very much and are glad the doctors are taking very good care of her. She has a room all to herself so Mama and Daddy get to sleep right here next to her. Grandma Peggy and Grandpa Dale are taking very good care of our other kiddos. Keep her in your prayers and we'll let you know any updates.

Yesterday I got called to be the ward camp director in my ward. I think we are going to camp Zarahemla this year. I LOVE camp Z!!! I am very excited for this opportunity. It will take a lot of work and time to be able to make girls camp a success. There's a lot I don't know about the "underside" of camp. I'll be picking last years camp director's brain a bit I think! The only big catch/problem with this whole picture is camp is the last week in June and our new baby is due the first week in July!! So I don't think I will be able to go to camp this year. Sad, sad, sad day for me! But maybe, just maybe I could pull it off to go up for a day or so. Wish me luck!
