The first week in May we headed on down to have a warm weekend in good old St. George. We aparently didn't check the forecast because we had some of the crapiest weather ever. We went down to spend some time with our friends the Wimmers and the Crowthers. Rayce had a great time staying in the hotel, such a great time he was super against taking naps, this might have made mom and dad have less of a great time from 1-3pm each day. Jacque and Mark just moved to St. George in December and have a beautiful house. It was fun to spend time with them. Rayce was less than nice to their daughter Kenna, he thought that all of her toys were his. I guess we need some work on sharing. We swam at the hotel with Jacque, Mark, and Kenna and Brandon, Lindsay, Dresden, and Drew. The chilly breeze made it a short pool party. On Sunday we went to breakfast with the Crowthers and then let Rayce run aroud at their beautiful pool. He love the waterfall and we even caught a lizard. Rayce was less then soft with the lizard and ended up wounding him quite a bit. All in all we spent a cold weekend with awesome people so despite the weather we had a great time.

I don't YIKE it Mama

The last Friday in April we decided to take Rayce to the Hogle Zoo. We got up bright and early and went to breakfast at Ruth's Diner and got to the zoo right about 9am. There was no one there, it was awesome. The first animal we saw was the howler monkey, he definately embodied his name that day, I think that he was howling at us the whole time we were there. The elephants and rhinos weren't out first thing so we started at the other side of the zoo. We saw a jaguar face to face through the glass, I think that he was putting on his morning show. The tiger was up and at it, milling around before it got too hot. The giraffes were definately awake. They were the Rayce's favorite, he couldn't keep his eyes off them. They even came over to pose for some pictures!! Rayce got a little scared by the big fake African Elephant, he didn't "yike it". He did like the dipping dots though, and let's be honest, who doesn't like dipping dots? I keep asking myself why they don't sell those things in the stores. It was definately a success ful day at the zoo. Next time we go we will do it early again!!!
