MIKE RULES

I just had to make sure that everyone knows what a great husband Mike is. Mike is the one who has been posting since the Lanie arrived. I just checked the blog and saw the new post about Lanie's first bath, how cute is that. I think that she might all ready have someone wrapped around her little finger. Boys beware! THANKS BABE YOU ARE THE BEST.

P.S. THANKS to everyone for all the phone calls and visits!

ImageAfter a ton of requests here are some new pics of the princess.

So far everything has been great. Rayce has been amazing with Lanie. He helps out any way he can. Lanie is sleeping great which obviously rules. Rosy makes sure to keep tabs on Lanie by checking on her when she is asleep. Rose will go upstairs once in a while and just look in Lanie's bed and give her a sniff and then come back downstairs and resume her position asleep on her bean bag. Lez is feeling great and is such an amazing mom. So thanks for all the concern and phone calls from all our friends and family. We appreciate you all so much. And thanks to everyone for keeping your sick selves and kids away. I appreciate that the most. Lez will tell you that I have no problem telling people to stay away. Hey, she's my little girl. Thats my job.

Trains, Trains, and more Trains

ImageHow do you keep a 2 1/2 yr old busy. GEOTRAX. If you haven't seen these you are missing out. Rayce loves these. You can buy all kinds of different track assortments and trains. They are battery powered and come with remotes. Just head on down to the local Toys R Us. The best part is setting it up and taking it down multiple times a day. But if it keeps him busy, eh, what do ya do?

To my Valentine

Shall I compare you to a summers day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
and summers lease hath all too short a date.
Sometimes too hot the eye of heaven shines,
and often is her gold complexion dimmed
and every fair from fair sometimes declines.
by chance or nature's changing course untrimmed .
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
nor lose possession of that fair though owest;
nor shall death brag that thou wander'st in his shade
When in eternal lines to time thou growest.
So long as men can breathe, or my eyes can see,
So long lives she and she gives life to me.

Lez,

There is not much more to say other than thank you for the best Valentine you could have ever given me. You are everything I need everyday. I can't wait to bring my girls home.

Love you.

My little princess.

So we woke up at 6:30a.m. wondering why the hospital hadn't call us like we were told they would at 5:30 a.m. So Lez got on the phone with the hospital and they told her they would call us when they were ready and it would be about two hours. 45 minutes later they were ready for us. We dropped Rayce off at Lez's sister's house then off we went. We checked in at about 9:00 a.m. and they had Lez started by 9:30 and our little princess was born at 3:40 p.m. just over six hours later. She weighed 8 lbs. 7 oz. and was 19.5" long. Her heart rate kept going up then dropping drastically and the doctor realized the cord was wrapped around her neck. Once he got that taken care of everything went great. Lez was super happy to only labor for six hours vs. 23 hours with Rayce. Both mom and baby are doing great. Rayce was so happy to come see his new sister and is insisting on naming her Lanie so we are leaning towards Lanie Blaise Helm. We will keep you all informed.

Lehi Legacy Center Rules!

Image

We went swimming the other day at the Lehi Legacy Center for a birthday party. Rayce loves to swim and the pool offered lots for little ones to do. His favorite part was the monkey spitting out a stream of water. He would just stand there and let the water go down the back of his swim trunks. Talk about "like father-like son". Rayce loves to swim, we can't wait to go to the pools in the summer, as long as the toddler ban is up.
p.s. I even got into a swim suit, me and all my pregnant glory! I have no idea what in the world kind of face I was pulling for that one. And by the way, we will have a baby here sometime in the next 2 days. They are supposedly calling me at 5:30am to tell me what time to go in tomorrow! We will keep you posted.

SLEDDING

Last Saturday we took Rayce sledding for the first time. We went with our awesome friends the Cuellars and Rayce had a great time. He didn't want to take his sunglasses off the whole time.

Rosy had a blast too, even when her paws were bleeding.

Here is Cong Ella and Sammy. Ryan is the tough guy picture up at the top. Thanks Cuellars for inviting us!

BABY STILL ON BOARD

Just a little up-date. Helm baby-girl is still on board, still in the oven! You see, us Twede girls like to bake em' till their completely cooked, and I mean all the way through! If she doesn't come this weekend they are going to induce me this coming week, probably before Friday. I am hoping for Tues or Wed but not St. Valentine's sacred day. Any ways just thought I would keep everyone posted.
