Christmas Decorations

We are so sad to say that we will be taking down our Christmas tree and docarations around the house this weekend. We love to put it all out and enjoy it through the holidays and it is so hard to put it all away till next year.

Santa comes to town

Operation Christmas Child

Friday Dec. 7th some of us at Kennedy Office Supply got the chance to spend the day volunteering at the Operation Christmas Child in Boone, NC. We first took a tour of the buildings and learned a little history of Samaritan Purse and how it was started and the different things that they do there. They had a wonderful lunch prepared for us and we were able to meet Franklin Graham and here some of the great stories of experiences he's had while giving out the boxes to the child.
This is the warehouse that the boxes go to from all over the world. THe boxes are brought in and put in an assembly line where one person checks for money, glass objects, any liquid, or weapons. If it was sent half full they have stuffers to fill the box up. THen it is taped and put in a box that is designated for the age group and sex. It is then loaded onto trucks and sent out.

Mom, Dad and I put up the Christmas tree the day after thanksgiving. I just love looking at all the lights and playing with the ornaments. They taste good too, I took the ornaments off the tree and stick them right into my mouth. Yeah still in the teeting process!! Drueling like crazy!!

I'm getting into this Christmas thing everyone has been telling me. Mom has wrapped most of my christmas presents and I can't wait to see what they are. She also says that Santa is going to come visit me and leave me lots of toys. I am so very excited. Although I think my grandparents are just as excited this year because there has been some talk that they have bought the stores out already. I'll let you know later what I get!!! Mom will probably take tons of pictures!!!

Oh PS Guess what!!! I can roll over on my tummy now!! Last tuesday morning mom came into my room to wake me up and I had rolled over on my tummy for the first time. I'm Still not so fond of laying on the tummy.

Trying Solid Foods
