Football in May? (I'm still blogging about last year...)
I'm so excited to finally blog about football season last year! We had Emms, Sweetie, and Megs in Cheer and D'Artagnan in football. Totally fun! Practice Schedules and games took up a great deal of time. Games every Sat. and since Emms and Sweetie are older they cheered for the older boys, Megs cheered for D's team. Most Saturdays from Sep to Nov had 2 games. We got to go to Flagstaff, Chino, Cottonwood, etc. The Boys didn't win any games, however they sure looked cute and had fun. Daniel loved the games more than the practices. The weather was stinking hot the first few games. Their best game was in Williams, the weather was great, the boys got a touchdown, drove the ball, had fun. The Girls went to the Cheer competition at the end of the season, they worked really hard to go, did amazing cheers and learned the choreography by heart. The whole season kept us busy, but we were together as a family cheering eachother on and showing support. One of the best parts of the whole season was that we got to do this with cousins! Jamayka, Kennadi and Dekon did cheer and football as well. As parents who loves football this was super fun for both Michael and me.
Cheering at one of the hottest games and still smiling!
Best Pic Ever!
Cute Cheerleader!
Eric at one of the games.
Daniel is about to get down in his Cuh ray zee stance.
Gorgeous Girls!
Megan got to be the "flyer". She's the one getting on the top of the pyramid.

Some birthdays from 2011
I'm gonna post some cute pictures of birthday's from last year. If you recall, I blogged about Megan and Daniels 2011 birthday, so this the other 3 kids birthdays. Enjoy the pics!
Emms Birthday is in August so we'll start with her.
The Biggest Apple Pie I could find...she asks for pie each year.I usually make her pie, but then she saw this at costco.... Notice that we didn't have enough candles so the big decorative one is off to the side...hehehe.

Emms birthday Present was getting her ears pierced...here we are right after it was done, she did great!

Eric's Birthday was next, he had so much fun!
He is totally the center of attention, and he loves it!

He looks like he's in shock! A whole car for me?!?

He loved the candles on the cake, he was singing happy birthday for days.

Carolyn's Birthday was a blast, cousins and friends made her 10th super fun.
Eric got to the cake before the party, but sweetie loved it anyways, she really liked the purple and blue. She asks for a homemade cake every year. I love making them for her.

Big Chin Grin!! Classic family smile...love it! (megan in the background.. ha ha ha ha, rofl!)

Walkie Talkies: Code names, hide and go seek, hours down at the creek, tons-o-fun!

Camping Trip Summer 2011
WE LOVE CAMPING!
And when I say "we" I mean it, our whole family loves it! And since we all like to go, we try to go every year, sometimes more times than one. This past summer we went to the rim and found a great place we've never been before. Those are the best for exploring. The kids found a "Crystal Kingdom" (a big rock with quarts all in it), they played there for hours each day. We went to the top of a lookout tower and watched as a thunderstorm rolled our way. We went crawdad catching at East Clear Creek...Daniel was catching them with his bare hands!! We played games, made friends and took naps. Cooked in the rain, read books, climbed trees and rode the Buggy. We couldn't have a fire, this was a crazy summer for fires in the state, but we had a little heater that we ended up sitting around each day! We had so much fun! Grandma & Grandpa Quist, Angela, & their friends, Ruth & her kids all came, which made it even awesomer...(I know, I know, that is not a word). I didn't feel the need to blog about this last summer, not only because of the ban on blogging but because my awesome sister blogged about it, and so I felt I didn't have too, but the pictures we got of the trip were so great I thought I'd post those here anyway. Enjoy!

What a year...
Well, I can't believe I'm going to try and blog something....it all started in March after we went on a surprise trip to Disneyland. I tried blogging about it 3 times. Each time it took me forever and then something would happen, Eric... a missed key stroke would erase a bunch... trying to get the pictures in the right part of the story would mess up a bunch of stuff...Eric again...Anyways, after feeling sooo frustrated I decided to give blogging a break. I didn't mean for it to be an 8 month break. I've got so much to do today, that I find myself surprised that I'm sitting here thinking that I'll just do a quick blog of the last 8 months!! HA HA HA!! I so funny! But what I can do is put up some amazing pics of my family, and then maybe talk about a few. I have an hour before I need to take the kids to school so we will see what happens. I think I'll start with a few pics from Disneyland and we'll see how we do....
Ok, well that didn't hurt too bad, maybe I can keep on going....How about I post this then do another group of pics? btw, the trip was a surprise for the kids, they didn't know we were going till we were walking into the gates. We told them we were shopping in CA for new shoes for Emms. We bought the shoes then it was too late to drive home, so we checked into hotel, the next morning we decided to go for a walk around the city...we walked straight there. The kids were sooo happy and excited! It was a great trip!

Before I blog about that, I should blog about this...
Okay, so I need to tell you about the twins sixth birthday! It was a while ago, but I wanted to put up pictures. Daddy was headed out of town on their day, so we partied a day early. We made pizza, and when I say we, I mean Michael. We had yummy cake and ice cream, and best of all, loved ones came! Daniel got a basket ball, and Megs got a scooter. They are so easy to please! We had fun just hanging out... oh and I did make the cake all by myself! (I'm a big kid now!)

Puppy - Love
Puppy: Well the title of this blog should just about sum it up. We have a new puppy, her name is "Tippers". She has white on the tips of her paws and the very tip of her tail. Her mama is a lab and her papa is a border collie. We went up to Taylor to get her after Christmas and got snowed in! We got to stay with the awesome Gurr family! Ruth is the one that sent me pics of some free puppies available and we decided at the last minute to go ahead and pick one. But we couldn't do that online, so we went up. It was so fun to stay a couple of days up there and play in the snow and getting a puppy was pretty cool too. Tippers is full of energy, which I hope is just because she's a pup. She is pretty smart, but only listens if a treat is involved. The kids enjoy having her, however Megan and Daniel will only go play outside with her if someone else goes too. (She still likes to jump up on them and nip at their heels.) She is an outside dog, but sneaks inside if the kids are too slow with the door. I took her to the vet today and she now weighs more than Eric! She is over 20lbs and growing fast. When we first got her she cried all night, so I tried putting a clock that ticks outside with her and it seemed to do the trick, no more whinning. (I'm really not sure how that is spelled). She will probably bite your pants or shoes the first time you meet her, but If you smack her nose with a firm no, she will stop. Robert (our cousin and nephew age 6) says not to worry cause he knows what to do, cause he's seen the dog whisperer. Eric likes to look at her through the back door and say "Gah Gah" his word for doggie and "Tip". I'm glad he has a puppy to grow up with, and I'm glad that the kids can stop bugging me now about when we are getting a dog!
Love: Valentines day shout out! This year was fun trying to keep three class lists and 75 valentines cards straight as the whole table was filled with cards. Some of you know that I love making cards, however valentines is the big exception to the rule! I just get the affordable box of cards from whatever store I happen to be in at the time. The kids get to write their name "google"* times and the names of their classmates. I then have to double check their work and make sure that the names are legible. Anyways, good times right? Valentines has never been a big holiday for me, I guess that is what comes from growing up working in a flower shop. You work and work and work at Valentines, then you go home and are so tired you don't want to celebrate anything but that it is over. BTW if anyone is looking for a fun and beautiful gift, call Watson Flower Shops....(Shameless Plug!) I kinda like Valentines now, now that I have a sweetheart. Still, I can't make myself make the cards though. Well, I want to send a big "I love you" shout out to Michael, EmmaLee, Carolyn, Megan, Daniel & Eric! You rock! To my loved ones still in the flower business, have a successful year and may your shoes be orothopedic! And to you all, I love you too! Have a Happy Valentines Day!
*The word google has been really big in my house lately. For those who think it is just a website, allow me to enlighten you. A "Google" is a 1 with 100 zero's behind it: 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000...etc. The kids were trying to top eachother with the biggest number they could think of, a million, then a zillion, then a "hevalillion" (carolyn made that one up) so I suggested a google. They use it all the time now, hence they had to write their names on valentines google times. And yes I used a footnote in my blog!

Christmas is Coming, the Goose is Getting Fat!
That was a song from High School Choir! Holy cow I remembered a song I sang from High School! Anyways, just a few more days. I think we are pretty much ready to go here in Bagdad, in fact we can have Christmas early. We've already done all our shopping, made the gingerbread house and eaten the gingerbread house, and put up all the lights. We are just waiting for Santa to come. The kids drew names for eachother this year and there is a great deal of excitement about who drew whom...grammar check. I've noticed that Carolyn is a happier helper lately, and that Emms has been more responsible lately. Daniel is first to chime in with a Christmas song, and Megan's answer to what Christmas is about is "Jesus was born!" Anyways, just wanted to say that I'm so grateful for a Savior whos sacrifice makes it possible for me and my family to enjoy eachother and look forward to an eternity together. Merry Christmas! May you always enjoy the true spirit of Christmas!
