  • Testing Add-on SDK Extensions on Travis CI

    Recently Mozilla restricted access to ftp.mozilla.org, instead you can download nightlies from archive.mozilla.org. Sadly this broke existing methods to download Firefox nightly for automated unit tests on Travis CI. I’ve written a node module, that takes care of downloading nightly versions of Firefox desktop and Android.

  • See, what confuses me about the discord age verification thing is that they have plenty of users with linked steam accounts (or xbox live or battlenet). Steam accounts that have existed for more than 13 years. Thus the user must be older than that. And they already have that data. Why bother with friction?

  • It's finally come to bite me that I put my printer, probably one of the worst WiFi devices on the planet, in the furthest corner where it can only be reached by WiFi and barely at that. I've had to retry a print three times now because it's too big and apparently there's a Tx re-transmit rate of >50%... I guess I'm ordering cables and getting a retired switch a new job.

  • Finally took the third drive that failed out of the NAS - it's just been sitting in there without being part of any volume any more for a while now. Next I guess I'll have to figure out where to shredder hard drives?
