Myers Family Reunion

We had our annual reunion at a cabin in Cedar City, UT.  Jenn arranged it all and found a perfect spot for us to stay - the cabin had a pool, trampoline, gun range, hot tub...and best of all, lots of woods for the kids to play in!  They created their own hideouts and were able to get lost in their own world.

Most of us...but missing a few
Besides spending time playing games and eating with the family, my favorite activity was hiking through this slot canyon.  We took our oldest three with us and they absolutely loved it.  Much of the hike involved walking through the water.  The scenery was beautiful and the hike was perfect.

Twins!!  I love this picture!

We spent some time hiking around and exploring this river.  The kids loved getting wet and dirty!

If he's going to pose like this, it's going to make it onto the blog.

I"m so glad we got this habit of Claire's documented.

And....still more Utah fun (we must really love it there!)

We stopped to visit Matt's grandma, Helen, in Honeyville, UT.  We had a nice visit with her and Matt's Uncle Mark.  We were just glad the kids didn't throw anything at grandma this time.

Nate's was named after his great, great...grandpa Abraham, who lived in (and maybe even founded) Honeyville.

Matt took the kids and met up with Kris and kids at the aerospace museum in Ogden.

Someone was a little unhappy.

Luckily, wearing a flight suit makes everything better.

This is the gorgeous view of downtown SLC from Ensign Peak.  Matt and I went on a delightful date one night and ended up here.  The hike was short, steep, and super fun.

Idaho Summer Baby Blessing

We had a fabulous time with our family in Idaho this year.  The entire family was there, minus Stu and Joan, who were enjoying the beautiful summer in Alaska.  We got to be there for Amelia & Charlotte's baby blessings - and snapped a bunch of photos to memorialize the event.

Wow, those Hunsakers sure are strong! (seriously, I would never arm wrestle any of them)

More Idaho Fun

The kids love being with their cousins.  They also loved going over to the Moffitt's farm - they have a bunch of animals and a go cart.  Drew was a champ and frequently took loads of kids over there and kept them entertained.  We also went to a canal, known as "The Drops," and had a great time.  We would jump in the canal upstream and then float down before getting picked up by Meghan in the truck - who then drove us back to the starting point for us to do it again.

Claire trying out her skills on Brittany & Mitch's piano (in Idaho).  They love it when we come to town.

We celebrated the Fourth of July by having a BBQ and lighting fireworks.  We had tons of fun...and were lucky that no one caught on fire.

Perhaps my most favorite picture of the trip:

Cute Ryley is a pro at doing hair, and she surprised us by straightening both Brooke and Claire's hair one day.  It was probably the first time in their life that they had their hair done and they looked super cute!
