Thanksgiving with the Reids

We were so lucky to get to send Thanksgiving with my sister Shauna's family in Pennsylvania.  We are so happy that we live within driving distance!  Thanks for such a fun holiday!  We had the yummiest food, good company, and lots of relaxing time!  We love you guys!!!

"Look at the pies Shauna made"  You know you're an Everett if you get this inside joke.

Jessica, Nate, & Logan anxiously waiting for the yummiest Thanksgiving feast ever!!!

John came through and ran off with the whole plate of turkey.

Jonah cut his first tooth on Thanksgiving Day!!!  He celebrated by eating and drooling in John's hair.

Classic look.  Jonah always has a couple of fingers in his mouth.

We love being at the Reid's house.  It is soooo beautiful!  We even enjoyed our first snow of the year on Thanksgiving.

John wants to be the Karate Kid in Karate Kid III.

Jonah was so smiley around Jessica!!  Thanks for playing!

Nate took us out on their canoe on their pond.  It was so calm and relaxing, I could have stayed out there for days.

More Disc Golf

Jonah is starting to sit up!!!  What a big boy we have!
Image
John has been killing me lately at disc golf.  We love to play whenever there's a warm day.

Washington DC with the Bakers

Martha got us a tour of the Capitol Building!  We were running late and didn't realize how far it really was to the capitol so we ended up running about 2 miles around the Tidal Basin by the Jefferson Memorial and clear across the Mall to the Capitol building.  Luckily I had the jogging stroller.  We met Senator Hatch right after, with sweat dripping and flowing, snarly hair.  I don't think Martha & Adam are going to want to hang out with me again for a while.

 Jonah loved Martha & Adam!

Jonah loves looking like a nerd.

 Good 'ol Brigham Young.

Don't I resemble Sakakawea with an infant strapped onto me?

Look at Martha's flowing hair and my red cheeks.
We had a blast.  Martha and Adam were sooooooo helpful with Jonah.  I think they weren't sure what to do without any kids.  They made my life so much easier and helped with doors, stroller, carseat, etc.  Thanks for letting me come hang out with you guys!!! Love ya!!

Highlights of Our Philadelphia Trip

#1 Seeing Christian & Stephanie was by far the best!!!  We love you guys and had so much fun spending time with you.
Image
#2 The twins were reunited and had a blast wearing matching shirts and tricking Jonah.  He wasn't sure who was his real daddy.
Image
#3 Finding a memorial with John & Christian's names on it.
Image
#4 Stephanie & Christian were so good at making Jonah happy and laugh!  He loves you guys.
Image
#5 Eating a yummy Dutch breakfast (Amish?).  We ate blueberry pancakes and apple french toast.  I'm still dreaming about it.

#6 Driving through beautiful ritzy neighborhoods of colonial mansions, seeing humongous stone bridges, and enjoying the fall leaves once again.

#7 Seeing the oldest homes that still have people living in them.  Pretty fun!

#8 Eating authentic, famous Phili Cheese Steaks at no other than Geno's Steaks.  Tons of famous people have eaten here.  We saw pictures of Oprah and Rocky to name a few.  Well worth the 1 1/2 mile walk, I'd have to admit.  Oh, and the best frozen yogurt en route.
Image
 Look at all the people!!!
Image

Image
Definitely not a local.  The guy at the window gave John some souvenir pens after getting the picture.  "Whiz with" was definitely the most tasty Phili cheese steak in my opinion.
Image
#9 Taking a million pictures at the Philadelphia Museum of Art on the "Rocky Steps".  Yes, this is where Rocky ran up the steps on one of his runs.  So inspirational!!!  If we were more cultured we would have actually gone inside the museum, but no, we just enjoyed the view and the many Rocky enthusiasts taking pictures of themselves running up the steps.
