The impacts of climate change are already present in our everyday lives. Unnatural disasters and other long term heating trends are creating new dangers and challenges in the workplace and to local economies, are threatening public health and safety, and are negatively impacting the activities and traditions that we hold dear.
ImpactsUS was a nonpartisan communications project that empowers journalists and content creators to help people connect the dots between the climate crisis and their lives.
We identify, research, and capture compelling stories from local communities that illustrate how climate change is already showing up at our doorsteps.
The ImpactsUS project is no longer operational and this site is not being actively updated. However, the resources remain reliable and are available for public education.

ImpactsUS bridges the gap between the public’s desire to understand the role of climate impacts in their daily lives and the capacity of local storytellers to serve that demand.
We do this by identifying and researching local stories that illustrate how climate change is already showing up at our doorsteps and connecting with storytellers close to home to support their ability to tell those stories from a local perspective.
