Anyway, I'm posting here to let y'all know that I'm going to send holiday cards this year. If you'd like to receive a card from me, I've posted a poll here . Dec. 11th, 2015 11:47 amHello all! I had finals this week, so I now have FIVE free weeks before spring semester starts. I survived my first semester at a 4 year university, barely. Working full time and taking 15 credit hours in a major I loathe was a bad semester with stress and frustration and no writing inspiration. However. I am changing majors now and taking one less class in spring to see if that helps.
I missed all the holiday card posts, sadly, but Luvscharlie surprised me with a card anyway. Thank you for that!
I want to try writing again during my semester break, though no promises. I did write the Hugo/Ginny and James Sirius threesome extravaganza a few weeks ago, but that's all I've been able to form into words lately.
If you feel so inclined, you are welcome to spam me with prompts. HP or Hermione-centric crossovers in Fandom I am familiar with are all cool. I'm still alive! I've been lurking a lot or reblogging junk on Tumblr because that doesn't require any real thought. Work schedule kicks my ass now that I'm working Mon-Fri and unable to write anything at work. I just don't feel inspired or motivated to use what little free time I have to write lately.
There's also a rather major life change happening for me right now. I'm planning to return to college in August to get my bachelor's degree in Business Administration, and it's going to be a rather large university here in North Texas, so there are a lot of nerves and concerns regarding being almost 40 and a college sophomore as well as trying to balance full time school with work etc.
Anyway, I just wanted to delurk because I saw on my f-list plans for a Post Every Day in May effort. I know I won't be able to post every day, but I am on vacation until May 11, so I'm going to attempt to maybe write something. I'm not really feeling any fandom at the moment, so I'd like to open up a Prompt Me for original snippet type stuff. If you feel so inclined, comment here with an image/quote/kink/prompt of some sort, an emotion, and whether you'd prefer het/slash/femme/gen as the type. hp_3somes before it's due but I'm pretty anxious about not getting it done, which is probably one reason I haven't been able to write anything. If I'd forced myself to get prompt/fest stuff done before the holidays, I'd be good now, I think, so I can only blame myself for the current block and likely fandom failure of dropping some fests. MEH! So annoyed with myself.
♥ It seems that this week that awards thingy announced winners. Congrats to anyone who received one! It appears I ended up winning first/second place for four categories (!!??) and hadn't even realized anything was nominated really. So thank you to anyone who voted and liked "Afternoon Delight" (1st Place Het Smut Ron/Hermione and 2nd Place Dark Ron/Hermione), "Unprofessional Behavior" (2nd Place Het Smut Rare Pairs), and "Lunch with Friends" (1st Place Smut Threesome/Moresome) enough to choose them.
♥ I miss writing every day! I guess I spoiled myself by coming back so strong and writing so much in such a short few months. Now, I just feel anxious over not getting commitment stuff written while battling ideas for random porn that of course don't fit with any commitments. I'm missing Hugo a lot, too, and I'd like to try some original stuff. Maybe after I either manage to write something or end up failing at fests and I get adjusted to all this stupid work nonsense and RL stuff, then I might be able to get back into the swing of things. I hope. Sigh.
♥ Have decided that, unfortunately, Italy next year is an unlikely dream. Darn that monetary nonsense that forces us to use money for practical things like house repairs instead of dream vacations! Oh well. One year I will manage to have enough money to go without feeling as if I'm being irresponsible using so much for non-practical reasons.
♥ This year, the family is thinking of taking advantage of the good gas prices and making a road trip in May up to Seattle and down to San Francisco, so that'll be fun.
♥ I've been trying to keep up with LJ on my phone even if I haven't been able to comment, but I might have missed something. I send lots of love and hugs to all of you. Hope that January is treating you all right and that this week is awesome for all of you!
