Hey KuziekYT, thanks for the feedback. Web performance is tricky to get right, and varies across varoious machines and browsers. Could you give me more info about your setup so I can optimize for you? Also, using the bug report fuction in the game should also help. I'll consider creating a reduced vfx option for players like you.

Np, if you have issues, let me know via the bug report function in the game, or any other way you prefer.

Hi dioramakoob thanks for playing! Can I have more details? If you want to chat about the bug, come join the discord!

Hi Javabot, thanks so much for playing!!!

Hi Cezeta, I get why you’d make the comparison, the game is openly inspired by Tower Wizard. But it’s not decompiled or AI-modified. I hand-drew the pixel art and coded everything in my own C++/Lua engine.

Fixed. Thanks for playing! You should see a new build in ~5 minutes.

Hi sketchyswirl, I'll look into it today. Thank you for letting me know, and for playing! The game does run best on Chrome, or on desktop.

Thank you for playing. Glad you liked it!

Hi everyone, I just finished some internal testing and am happy to release the first public itch.io demo of my game, Into the Planet's Flesh! As you can tell, it's inspired by Tower Wizard and contains about an hour's worth of playtime as well as 30+ achievements and web autosave.

Hi Ratsnake Games, thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. If I could have some info about your environment (browser? os?) as well as  your system specs, I could try to debug this. Cheers!

Hi AxalKay, appreciate it. I'll try to make future projects look less cluttered and more visually pleasing.

Hi, I’m looking for focused feedback on my game.

It’s a card-driven kingdom strategy prototype with decks, global modifiers, and tactical card combat.

Build: https://chugget.itch.io/8-bit-board-8-bit-decks

I’m mainly testing:
1. Whether the runs make sense
2. Whether the cards/buffs feel readable
3. Whether the loop is actually engaging

4. Are there any gameplay blockers?

Brutal honesty is welcome...! Cheers.

Really appreciate the aesthetic for starters. Definitely interested!

Hey thanks for the feedback :) Yeah will definitely need to change the font.

Hey thanks for the feedback, and for playing :)

Gameplay is cute and smooth. Not sure how to color the last roof, it had a guy camping on it :(

Didn't load for me unfortunately.

Great top-down shooter gameplay and amazing graphics. I too would have appreciated a smoother start, these guys are like impossible to kill, and the parry mechanic isn't introduced yet so I was struggling to reload.

especially like the neat tutorial, explained very well.

The drag causes an issue where the entire screen selects itself like text unless I'm precisely clikcing on a sprite. That was pretty fun.

I liked the roguelike bent of the idea. Would have loved some more info on the various icons, I couldn't really tell what they meant. The copying mechanic seems fun.

Great execution! I didn't have a controller on hand, would have loved an option to play with kb and mouse too.

This is fun, I love the aesthetic as cheap as it looks, it's also hilarious. Maybe more could have been done with the pointing mechanic?

Love the visuals. I ran into some glitches where the character keeps on teleporting backward even though I'm pressing the right key.

I would have loved more instructions on how to build the requested weapon. Great implemention though!

ingenius game loop. I love it. Envy the great idea

Good fun. I thought the bullets were really hard to avoid, skill issue?

I dig the simplistic and fun gameplay. Great job!

Great mood and custom graphics. i got stuck in the starting square and wasn't able to proceed. Is that a bug?

I enjoyed what I played, but there were lag spikes that detracted from the experience, unfortunately. Other than that, it's pretty fun!

Hi, I use raylib + c++ to code. Here is my itch profile: https://chugget.itch.io/ I'm looking for:

  1. Testers - to help test the game loop & provide gameplay feedback, shaping the prototype together,
  2. 2D artist,

Please dm me on discord (@chugget).

Yes, it was meant to be a clicker game. The tooltips were distracting, and the info was a bit lacking, yeah. Gotta update after the rating period ends. Thank you for playing.

Thanks for playing. Yeah the progression needs a fix. I'll be working on that

Wow I'm flattered you went so far! I added the main menu achievement as an afterthought, never thought anyone would actually try to get it. Haha. I'll work on fixing the achievement menu tooltips and the progression next.

Thank you!!

Thanks Sorry to hear you experienced lag. I'm not sure I can help with that, given the limitations of a web build.

Thanks Understood, I'll be working on an update to make the progress smoother.

Hey Daethall, thanks for playing the game! I'm sorry to hear you experienced some performance issues. I wish I could help you with it, but with the web version the amount of debugging I can do is limited. As for the progression, multiple people have mentioned that it needs some work. An update is planned with some QOL features after the game jam's rating period is over. Stay tuned!
So glad to hear you enjoyed it.

good to hear! Is you experience any other issues feel free to let me know here or in the discord, accessible from main menu

Hi! Thanks. That looks like a wasm-related error. I've never seen it before, though. Are you using an older version of Firefox? Have you tried with another browser by any chance?
