TODAY’S ASSIGNMENT: (4) Snail Blocks from Who’s Cruising Round Town quilt.

Scrappy tip: I use low volume of cream and white for the background to give the overall background a sparkling effect!

And here are my 4 snail blocks for the sampler quilt QAL.

Click here for more pictures and see the fussy cutting I did for the windows of the house. I had designed the snail block to give a fun twist to house blocks, AND as a humorous take on how I tend to pack my house wherever I go! :-)

I hope you have had fun sewing the snail blocks. You will find that they don’t take long to make. You might just find yourself making additional blocks to make your own Who’s Snailing Round Town quilt!

Hello my friends! Happy December to you. It’s hard to believe the year is almost over, and we are now in the Christmas Advent season. I hope you have had a good one. My daughter has 2 Christmases (including this year’s) left before she heads to college. I am trying to seize EVERY moment I can enjoying the season with, in spite of her busy schedule!

Today I am EXCITED to announce the next sampler BLOOMING SCRAPPY QAL with my latest book Scrap Quilting with Wendy Sheppard! My very sweet friend Pat Sloan will be sewing along. Assignment: Stripe Section and Border stars

There are lots of stars, and these star blocks can be a bit of a challenge in getting all the points to match up. I have written about accurate piecing here a long time ago, but this my go-to trick.

Hello friends, I hope you have been well! Happy Monday to you all! Can you believe it’s Today is our last check-in for Silver Lining QAL. I hope you have enjoyed making the blocks. I love making house blocks.

• Silver Lining is an easy enough project to make in the summer as summer is busy for many.
• It is my attempt to design a house quilt that has a fun little twist with the clouds. You can totally make the entire quilt with just the house blocks without the cloud blocks.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
